PvP Tuning Changes for June 9

mw will still be the best healer in the game, going from 55 to 1:15 cd is really really not going to matter at all


Remove the rotation.

Refund 75%+ of echoes when removing a corruption or scrapping a corrupted item.

Buff echo gains in general so it’s easier to try out different builds or change them after nerfs.

Also remove vessels and let people rapidly catch up on corruption resistance instead of limiting cores per week. This could also give us a faster way to farm echoes.


Odd changes outside of the Cocoon one, however I still believe no matter how much they mess with corruptions the biggest issue is still spec design.

Fix the design of the oppressive specs being able to make so many mistakes without much window for punishment, buff the lowest tier up a bit to bring back some counters that are healthy for the overall ladder and everything will improve.

I appreciate the intent here; however, this will not speed up the pace of the game at all. Yes, Mistweaver cocoon needed an adjustment, but nerfing Versatile simply slows down all damage. It is also clear that these changes are in response to the tournaments, which is fine, but Warlocks are heavily responsible for the pacing of arena right now. Every game almost requires a warlock to be on the team, and they slow down the game more than any corruption. We need blizzard to look at Warlocks to correct the pacing of arena.

I also want to mention that having a rotation on corruption and nerfing them like this is a little frustrating. AWC games have been going to deep dampening even before corruptions. A lot of this is due to neglected class changes. Please reconsider how we do changes if you are looking to speed up the pace of arena.

no it doesnt make the stun 50 seconds. it makes it 30 seconds if you play right. every judgement reduces it by 10 seconds.

which is dispellable and there are many ways to get out of. also i rarely at high ratings see druids cast this. its very niche compard to hoj/rep/blinding light

literally never said they are head and shoulders over every healer. MW is by far the top healer atm. hpal is undeniably tier 1 though and most likely the second best healer atm. I was suggesting nerfs that would bring their abilities more in line like they were in past expansions. tbh I felt like they were pretty lenient nerfs too considering hpals almost never oom, have multiple get out of jail free cards, and can top people with a single heal. :man_shrugging:

Vitality Conduit (Essence) healing is now reduced by mortal wound effects and damping.


    • Entrenched in Flame (PvP Talent) now reduces movement speed by 50% for 3 seconds instead of rooting.
    • Focused Chaos (PvP Talent) now increases Chaos Bolt damage by 15%, down from 65%.
    • Nether Ward (PvP talent) now has a 1 min cooldown, up from 45 seconds.
    • Soul Leech is now dispelable.



    • Holy Ward (PvP Talent) duration reduced to 8 seconds, down from 30.
    • Greater Heal (PvP talent) mana cost increased to 12% of base mana, up from 4%.


    • Dark Archangel (PvP talent) Passive added: Healing done by Penance is now increased by 15%.


    • Shimmer now only works with damaging spells and abilities.
    • Kleptomania (PvP Talent) now has a 1 min cooldown, up from 30 seconds.
    • Temporal Shield (PvP Talent) now has a 1 min cooldown, up from 45 seconds.


    • Greater Pyroblast (PvP Talent) now has a 15 second cooldown.


    • Deep Shatter (PvP Talent) now increases the damage done by Frostbolt by 125% at all times.

Demon Hunters

    • Rain from Above (PvP Talent) now has a 2 min cooldown, up from 1 min.
    • Mana Rift (PvP Talent) now destroys 4% of the targets mana down from 8%, damage left unchanged.


    • Grapple Weapon (PvP Talent) now has a 1 min cooldown, up from 45 seconds.


    • Chrysalis (PvP Talent) now reduces the cooldown of Life Cocoon by 25 seconds (was 45 seconds).
    • Counteract Magic (PvP Talent) now increases Renewing Mist’s Heals by 100%, down from 135%.
    • Healing Sphere (PvP Talent) now has a 25 second recharge, up from 15 seconds.


    • Turbo Fist (PvP Talent) now increases the Monk’s chance to parry by 50%, down from 100%.


    • Dagger in the Dark (PvP Talent) now increases all damage you do to the target by 3%, for the next 45 seconds. Stacks up to 5 times.


    • Thorns (PvP Talent) now has a 1 min cooldown, up from 45 seconds.
    • Conflict and Strife (Essence) now grants the ability Cyclone instead of Thorns


    • Moonkin Aura (PvP Talent) now increases your damage by 15%.
    • Celestial Guardian (PvP Talent) now increases healing received by 15%, down from 20%.


    • King of the Jungle (PvP Talent) now also increases the druid’s health by 5%, stacking 3 times.


    • Demoralizing Roar (PvP Talent) now reduces enemy damage by 10%, down from 20%.

Beast Mastery

    • Wild Protector (PvP Talent) now also increases the damage your pets do by 15% when within 10 yards of an ally.


    • Tracker’s Net (PvP Talent) now also reduced the Focus cost of Wing Clip by 90%.
    • Viper Sting (PvP Talent) now also drains 4% of the target’s mana over it’s duration.


    • Trueshot Mastery (PvP Talent) also increases the damage done by Steady Shot by 25%.


    • Control of Lava (PvP Talent) removed.
    • Skyfury (PvP Talent) now gives your Flame shocks damage over time a 10% chance to reset the remaining cooldown on Lava burst.
      Lava Burst Damage is increased by 45%.


    • Ride the Lightning (PvP Talent) no longer breaks targets effected by CC.
    • Ride the Lightning (PvP Talent) increases all nature damage by 15%.


    • Thirst for Battle (PvP Talent) Bloodthrist now also applies the Mortal Wounds debuff to the target.


    • Cleanse the Weak (PvP Talent) no longer removes magical effects.


    • Divine Steed is no longer on the GCD.
    • Shield of Vengeance is no longer on the GCD

Death Knight

    • Necrotic Aura (PvP Talent) also increases the damage your Death Coil does by an additional 25%.


    • Necrotic Aura (PvP Talent) also increases your Frost damage by 15%.
    • Chill Streak now does 25% less damage but bounces between targets within 15 yards, up from 6.

Remove PvE Trinkets!!!

That’s a super solid list and what real changes should look like. Just would add DH leech nerfed they have to much sustain.

Awaiting some answers. Farming my echoes tonight for mastery to hope to figure something out for ret in pve but this entire corruption business is just completely out of hand.

It’s akin to a once great restaurant that was sold to different owners, and now the food is $#!+. Kaivax, I know you’re only the waiter, but please take this god awful plate back to your chef. It is not edible. Thank you.
