I don’t know what the hell has happened recently, but queue times have become absolutely atrocious. In all PvP brackets. And low level PvP that I used to enjoy dozens of matches while leveling up has gotten so bad there’s like 1 game every 6 hours, usually ending due to lack of players.
Just fix it!
Before 11.0.5 my blitz queues were 3-4 minutes on my healer and 6-8 minutes on my dps.
Now my healer sits in 10 minute queues and my dps sit in 10-20 minute queues.
I don’t know what they did but they need to reverse it. Long queue times kill the game! Instead of narrowing the range of MMR for matches, maybe try some form of rating loss protection for people who are placed in matches far below their MMR. They shouldn’t be unfairly punished.
i don’t know about PVP, but i noticed in timewalking that its really only queueing you with people in your server or battlegroup, not region wide like its supposed to be, might be related.
They used to allow huge swings in MMR so that lobbies fill quickly but made it so quality of matches were prioritized - which means queue times suffer.
I definitely don’t see games where one team is 200+ MMR higher than the other anymore but when everyone says “I just want better quality matches, I’ll gladly sit in longer queues to get them” this is what happens. There isn’t an infinite pool of players to pull from in this game and rating is insanely inflated right now so everyone is spread thin
At higher MMR games basically just don’t exists except certain times of day. Later at night for me queues pop in ~10 minutes as a healer, during the day I sat an hour long queue and just left it
Everyone also advocates for no duo queue. “I’ll gladly sit in longer queue times if duo queue is removed” buuuuuuuut they would no doubt complain about queue times after this too
100%. I have a warlock that I play almost exclusively for BG Blitz and the queue times are awful, even at peak hours. It’ll frequently say the estimated time is 10 min but I’ll just be sitting in a 20-30 min queue in reality. Healer is a little better, but also just as bad if I play after 9pm CST.
I don’t have the answer for this, but if the point the guy made about queues limiting people to playing w/ players only from their realm, then that should be remedied ASAP.
I love the BG Blitz game mode a lot; it’s super fun (provided no griefers & wintraders) but I really don’t want to play line simulator for 70% of my time logged in. sincerely hope bliz improves this!!
the 70 bracket is only populated with level 70’s. it stands to reason there would be longer que times. all the brackets from 10-69 are hit and miss probably more active during the day. the 71-79 bracket has the fastest pops.
