This probably isn’t the best place for this, but I’ve heard that PvP isn’t really popular because it’s too complicated.
What if they had a zone where you are flagged upon entering, or an event and made it so you can only use 4 abilities. You get to pick what they are and that’s it. This would simplify PvP making it easier for casuals to understand no?
It does seem so. And it doesn’t seem very dissimilar broadly speaking to the limited time game event they had in retail not long ago… Plunderstorm or something?
Anyway, I think they could definitely try more things to encourage more participation in PVP. It does seem to be very popular among those who enjoy it as it is though, so I would hope that they don’t make drastic changes to the current systems, but maybe either increase participation through more media coverage or additional content/content types.
I’m not opposed to something like that but I would prefer maybe 8 abilities or so. 4 is way too little. Arena is the only reason I play WoW so I may be a little biased though.
To be honest, if they wanted to help people learn pvp they could easily teach the basic concepts in some kind of tutorial.
