PVP neglected

What am I deflecting??

You made a claim about players being driven away.

Whats your basis for said claim?

Just look at players numbers. It’s open you can go look lol it’s been going down for years.

So foolish of you to think that presenting Theadreu with the evidence and links they were asking for would do anything to change their mind.

You could show him a Nobel prize winning, peer reviewed and published study from a joint team of researchers from M.I.T, Oxford and the Sorbonne and his reaction would be “yOuR’e LyInG”.

Welcome to the Theadreu’s hamsterwheel of logic.

Making stuff up to try and discredit someone is kind of sad. If you guys ever argued with logic and facts instead of feelings maybe people would listen.

You’re right, there was no Nobel prize winning, peer reviewed and published study from a joint team of researchers from M.I.T, Oxford and the Sorbonne. I made the whole thing up.

That’s not what I am claiming you made up. But of course, you lie even more. Others along with me simply pointed out that your “stats” and “facts” where not from blizzard themselves. Sure, the survey was but do you honestly think every wow player participated in that? So, stop with the childish ranting and lying and grow up a little.

No of course every player didn’t participate, which is something I also mention in my original post.

I’ll quote it below since it’s probably getting lost in the shuffle.
I am unable to post links, hence no link, but you can find the post on the official World of Warcraft X account on April 26 of this year.

So, you understand we are simply saying those numbers aren’t accurate, correct? Also, 14k votes? That’s not even half the player base. So again, me and others are simply pointing out these aren’t accurate and all we can really do is look at experience. I have been playing WoW for a very long time, I have been playing epics for a very long time as well, from what I and many others have seen and noticed pvp players are dying out, so the fact that sync abusers are driving people away isn’t a good thing, can you agree to that at least? Do you not want more players in the game?

You will not get any argument from me that sync premades need to be fixed. I personally used to LOVE epic battlegrounds and would do them quite often, but I have not done hardly any for the past couple years due to premades. It’s not fun to lose 90% of the matches with no hope of winning. Close losses that maybe could have been wins? Fun. Absolute smackdowns with no hope of winning only because one side is a premade? Not fun.

My point though is that PvP as a whole is pretty low on priority, due to being such a minority in how people play.
Unless Blizzard comes out and releases the numbers themselves, all we can do is make inaccurate guesses based on things like armory and achievement data, queue times, assumptions, anecdotes, YouTube videos/streaming, news articles, the dev’s own focus, and polls like the one I posted.

And so far, all the data that we DO have, has been fairly consistent in suggesting that the majority of the player base identifies PvE content as their main mode/motivation/way of playing the game, not PvP.

If PvP was more popular or at least as popular as PvE, there would be way more PvP content being added by the devs and PvP content being created by the main WoW content creators than there currently is.

There’s a reason why the biggest WoW content creators barely touch on PvP, why the developers add 20 new dungeons for every 1 battleground, why there’s a dozen PvE transmogs for every PvP transmog, why there’s a hundred PvE mounts for every PvP mount.
And that reason is NOT because PvP is a focus of the player base, sorry.

If we want good changes, we have to first be realistic.

The focus is money. Mythic + brings in money. That’s why I asked what we can do to fix this.

And making the battleground queues cross faction would be an easy first step that would go a long way.

I mean, they could just make it a brawl at first. Like make it a season long brawl, cross faction epic battleground queue, and see what happens. Literally zero risk for Blizzard cause if it doesn’t work out then no harm done.

I just don’t personally think cross faction will do much at all.

Well I know for blitz it (plus the solo part) made the matches feel much better overall.

Brawl still being broken after another week should show u how neglected PvP is

That’s convenient.

How is that “convenient”… I can’t post links yet. Why do you guys troll so much?

I can’t post links either, but I was not able to find it after searching through several pages of google results either.
But you’re not the first person to have mentioned that same survey. I’m not saying it doesn’t exist, but rather that I could not find any information about the results of it anywhere. I hope someone does find it and post a link or at least mention where to find it.

Is this the poll?

I think so. It looks different from what I remember though.

Assuming it’s a reasonable estimator of the distribution it’d seem to indicate that they should invest more into pvp.
