Pvp Matches early end based on score (thoughts)

Hey all, new poster - but a long time casual player of the game. Started PvP-ing last year and have discussed this with others but wanted to see if there’s any good feedback on this.
Basically, if a PvP match becomes an absolute stomp fest (Think SS v TM Brawl) should there be a threshold where the match is won by default? This could save time for players and help to speed up que-ing.
For the SS v TM brawl should it be like a 75pt lead? Should AB be a 1200 pt lead or lower? Just something that I haven’t seen much on, but I’m newer to the threads so apologies if this is a repost. But yea, thoughts?

Why?
If you are getting stomped, you will lose quickly anyway.
That is what “getting stomped” is.

On a domination map, a quick end is inevitable.
Even if you made a systematic attempt to draw the match out by not capping bases to limit point gains, your opponent doesn’t have to play that game with you.
If they cap neutral bases your only option is to take them or you will lose.

Long drawn out graveyard camps only happen on flag maps where you can cap two flags and chill until the timer runs out. In that case, your team can refuse to resurrect and be spawn camped. 9/10 times the other team will cap the last flag and move on if there is nothing to kill.

My thoughts are that it’s more respectful of players time to not have to sit through a pure slug of being farmed. I get your point about it ‘ending quickly’ - but’s it’s still a longer unjoyable time for a player to just sit and - in your example - be farmed or not rez to avoid this.

I queue solo for random BGs, but sometimes I queue with friends if they invite.
I don’t look for groups. I prefer solo because group queues are sweaty games.
I don’t enjoy camping graveyards either. I would rather play normally chasing people around the map. If my team is camping a graveyard I run the flag to end the game so I can get back to playing the game.

Losing is not enjoyable. Nobody queues up with the intention of losing, but you do have the option to leave the battleground.

Lowering the amount of points required to win or increasing the rate that they are earned will impact the pace of the game overall.
If you increase the point gains for the winning team that will end the “stomps” faster, but also hinders the possibility of a comeback in a close match.

If you want quick games you can play Blitz. The accelerated gameplay of Blitz matches results in a stomp fest game ending quickly because of how quickly points are gained from objectives.

If you want to end games that are a total and hopeless loss to save player time, the only real solution would be to allow forfeiting. If you think sitting in a graveyard getting farmed for a few minutes is bad, this would be significantly worse for every BG player.
“Let them win” and /afk out guys will be throwing up forfeit votes immediately after losing a team fight. You will probably never see a BG end normally ever again.

Thanks for the feedback on this!
I don’t disagree with you that losing isn’t enjoyable, but that’s not the point that I’m making. I’m also not suggesting either a point gains increase or a ‘vote to concede’ option (like rocket league or LoL) as I agree that this would only add some additional hurdles.
I’m suggesting a mechanic that, at a certain points threshold, would trigger an auto loss/win. I don’t think that would introduce what you’re describing here.
