I noticed that the JJ buff is back and I was thinking about dusting off my 75 Wrath character and leveling with pvp.
How is pvp leveling in general? Should I just queue AV’s?

Probably get farmed by Full Brutal gear players with Wrath gems/Enchants. 70 Twinks are a thing.
You missed AV weekend. Depends on Que. Likely you should just do both Daily BGs for the Honor to buy gear at 80. Then the other gives 25 Arena points. So get that going.
So far only AV is popping. Experience is about the same as AV weekend since the JJ buff went live.
Haven’t seen any 70s so I’m going to assume they’re in their own bracket.
AV is the only BG where 70 Twinks are in a lower bracket. Had a 70 Prot Pal Twink and had some fun for awhile. So they are farming 60’s trying to level. Other BGs they can Que into.
Well not too sure how Isle works since they added that latter not sure on that bracket.
So if it was WSG Call to Arms it would be rough cause the Twinks are there to farm HK’s and not cap the flag.

As someone who leveled almost the entire way to 79 via BGs on this char and many other 79 twink alts, i really dont think WSG or AB leveling is a viable way to get experience, with or without JJ buff. AV was the best option.
That said, AV this past weekend felt noticeably nerfed, despite the Call to Arms. Wouldn’t be a bit surprised if Blizzard has stealth nerfed BG leveling in general.

I’d imagine AV with JJ would be about the same as AV with CtA, but I can’t say for certain. After using it to get my Warrior to 80, and then keep using it to get some half decent gear, I’m a bit burnt out on it

70 twinks are cut off at 71.
Run some wg…and get the brutal like the 79’s have. Many who pvp in the leveling also have at least 65K for that 70 ding. I did on the CTA AV dk. 66 to 70 honor was about 65K. It gave a nice jump start on the 70 ding. I was by the vendor for that 70 ding lol. Out the 70 clearing av and shopping spree.
Its pretty good for pve too. You aren’t seeing armour replacements tiill 76+. and the weapons are there till 80. even AH can suck for boe sales. If there, big if, yeah, 2 maybe 3 WG’s is the much better option.
This needs patience. Not gonna lie. YOu rewards are based on how team does. Not all teams are good. Ghost cappers, people not playing objectives…patience is your friend.
BUt…it banks up honor for the 80 ding. Deadly + is not bad gear to start off 5 minutes past 80 ding either.

70 Twinks are in the 71-79 bracket in AB, Eye, WSG.
70 Twinks are in the 60’s bracket for AV.
At least that is how it was for my 70 Twink and mostly would farm AV field and back cap towers solo.

Just run flags is all I ask. WSG and AB can work out to nice xp if its quick losses. Otherwise its youtube catch up as I cancel rez. All one can do on full on a gy camping massacre really.
I’d like more fullfilling xp making diversions, but that isn’t until ICC with RDF lol. Till then…if not a win, quick loss works too.
Not sure if the 72 BE dk will be here. My focus is leaning to 40 on the s. priest to see shadow form. Dots and wands…got really old. S. priest is not the most thrilling class/spec I have leveled. It sucked in retail when I did it in BFA too lol.
At 75 you’re queue’d into the 71-79 bracket for AV. While there are certainly players with exp turned off, 79 twinks are nowhere near the power gap compared to literally any other bracket.
AV is solid if you prefer PvP. While questing/dungeons would still be faster, it’s also my own preferred method, so having a bit of downtime or the occasional turtle is a non-issue compared to straight PvEing.
Other BG’s might pop, but you’ll mainly be doing AV. Luckily, especially with JJ, the exp is alright for 10-15m games. And of course, if you’re slow about it, RDF is right around the corner as well.

Funny thing I’ve noticed about the AV games I’ve done is that, much like retail AV, there’s little to no actual pvp involved LOL.
Also I’m glad my Wrath Classic main is Alliance because they win all the matches.
AV has always been competitive PvE
Unless premades are involved.
Any premading in AV is some extremely sweaty and inane nonsense due to the single group of 5 queue cap for it. Premading leveling AVs is, quite literally, an insane thing to do.

Brutal is better than most quest gear to 80. Maybe some decent blues in dungeon.
But even then its not the nightmare that is a naxx twink for the 60 or less bracket. Corrupted ashbringer does hurt when it hits you. I know this well.
Most gems for brutal socket bonuses are reasonably priced too. these don’t need the BIS gems that cost 1000 gold.
Iron buckle (usually cheap as well) for the belt for a prismatic socket, slap in a blue gem and now you get meta gem too. I had all this by 71/72 this weekend.

I don’t know the scene on Classic, but on retail, sync-queuing premades at max level are quite common.
And I’ll repeat myself; AV premading with sync queueing is some extremely sweaty and inane nonsense.
Basically. Its the extra effort not really needed. Against horde anyway.
Alliance can hope North or south will be empty and a rogue can flip it. And be right way to much. I saw that with my blood elf all weekend long.
More active folks…take a few geared folk and hit SHB or IWB. Zug zug does not mean defend. Some like me who do defend accept we are dying on SHB to even 3 alliance geared and with half a plan.
Alliance has the same issues too. I have many stories about noob hill to share. 20+ people in the horde base. and not 1 of them in a tower. Sigh…
