In WotLK the removal of the “PvP” section in LFG was removed. This was never added back. Right now, not only do we just have no classic armory, which can be helpful since we’ve only got a ‘Ironforge.pro’ or whatever 3rd party website, we have no solid way to utilize an LFG system for PvP.
The servers are so dead, there’s no one online to even find in Trade/LFG chat. Utilizing the LFG Tool, we have to go to the ‘other’ section, and filter through the people there that aren’t just ‘selling R1 carries’, but all the other non-PvP activities.
PvP/Cataclysm is SO DEAD that if I wanted to queue Rated BattleGrounds, as I looked forward to SO MUCH for Cataclysm, I can’t. Why? Well, after a WEEK of searching, we finally found a team to queue with. We sat in queue for 30 MINUTES. THIRTY. Before the group disbanded. Want to know why it took > 30mins to find a game? Well, there were no other teams. We couldn’t find a game because we were the only team that was in queue in all of North America.
The tool, since it’s not designed for PvP at all, will have people searching for 2v2 or 3v3 teammates, but because they don’t delist themselves, they clutter the search tool with their post because it doesn’t auto-delist them. It doesn’t auto-delist them because it isn’t setup for this feature. It isn’t them searching for a 2v2 or 3v3 partner, it’s them posting a group. So, when they find their partner, it’s still in the LFG tool rather than delisting them. 50% of the posts in there are people already queueing arenas - you get excited thinking, ‘Oh, I might’ve found someone!’ but… then you realize, they’re searching for players for a 3v3 match, but they already have 3 players in their party… so… just kidding, you’re still alone. Keep looking!
I know just having a new LFG tool for a PvP Tab won’t fix the popularity of this game at this point, it’s probably a lost cause - but it honestly is so disheartening to feel so left in the dust in this category that I actually cannot play. I’ve played this game for 20 years. I’ve looked forward to Cataclysm Classic for PvP for years because it was my favorite era (crap on me for that if you’d like. sigh). And now… it’s just dead. I got my Tarecgosa Staff in Firelands first from my raid team. I got it last week. And… all I can do is queue into the bot games in regular battlegrounds (which I sat a 15minute+ queue for).
It just feels horrible to be so excited for this game, that finally exists, and to end up just logging off and not being able to even play. Instead I sit 15+ min queues for soloQ RBGs in retail 
I feel like an LFG PvP Tab again would at least HELP to find people, but maybe I’m too hopeful.
My real question is - why was this taken away in WotLK? Why has this never been addressed or fixed or even talked about? Help 
I just want to play the game I love again.
