Apparently you can get now thankfully 233 gear from reaching 2400+.
Thanks for this change. Hard content should also be equally rewarded.

âThe Best Wayâ
I donât believe that, by sheer mathematics alone, everyone can reach 2400+ rating.
So all the other options are probably far easier.
Idk how many people are realistically able to reach 2400+ rating, let alone 1800 rating.
Iâm thinking he means âthe best way to gear as a pvper in arenaâ as previously, those who did arena did not like having to raid or m+ spam to get gear to then play arena
ârated pvpâ
Fixed it for you.
Oh, I see. So he was crying.
Should the best pvpers not be getting the best pvp gear by pvping?
I must have been mistaken. Is there PVP stats on gear again?
No, but what I was arguing about was two different gearing paths to the highest level of gear.
One path for pvpers to get the highest gear.
Another path for pvers to get the highest gear.
I donât see anything wrong with this, and honestly, it would be silly if they had to m+ or raid to get better gear
They donât need to. It just takes some time doesnât it?
Weâll never know since the op abandoned his thread, I guess.
Just sayingâŠ
2400 would be easier to acquire the higher the pool of participation is.
More people getting into arenas = the less difficult 2400 is to get.
I still feel everyoneâs ilvl should be the same for pvp
Faster, maybe, best?
Get rape every time you queue into bg isnât the best way to spending your time in a very expensive gameâŠ
Specially when you prefer pve.
Eh, I think its a reasonable expectation that gear you get will always exceed the level youâre currently at. As in, the gear alone isnât a factor in holding you back.
When there are large gaps in ratings relative to gear, it creates potential road blocks for players to get into higher brackets. This was a big issue in Wotlk when the elite weapons were unlocked at 2200 vs the base ones at 1800. For players who get to 2400 early in the season, it can be more difficult for players to push higher.
The issue is, they need there to be fewer gaps in gear versus rating and instead make the curve for rating and ilvl more gradual. Just like in PVE where many early mythic fights allow you to get your foot in the door and still progress.
Itâs all relative to how Blizzard has MMR tuned for the season. In some season 2400 is as âeasyâ as 2100. While other seasons, getting to 2400 puts you not far off rank one. Since rating can be wildly different, having gear locked to rating can be bad. Not that I donât agree with the concept, but if its not tuned properly, 2400 can be completely unachievable by even some of the best players.
A lot of people would agree with you, but it honestly kills participation. Legion templates were always off. How my hunter played in PvE vs PvP was jarring. Gear of any type is an incentive. If they wanted templates to work, they could try offering more interesting rewards, but I doubt that would be enough.
In the end, if you play PvP, the gear you need to get better should always be available relative to your ability. Some times they get it right, some times not.
Probably a few thousand each season. A tiny percentage.
Like fighting dumb AI with repetitive mechanics?
Not getting one shot by someone with half my skill level just because they dont as many real life responsibilities. This is a video game, theres no âworkâ in it.
âHard contentâ like memorizing strategies that others devise for you and copying them? Please
