If someone at 2400+ is half your skill level; wouldn’t you be able to knock out 2400 on an easy Sunday afternoon and be caught up?

This is the problem with WoW’s rating system that people don’t seem to get…The way its set up its really more about time spent (or in many cases what ever the meta is).
PVP is not PVE, the progression system does not line up. Not to mention all the systems we have now to do ontop of all that.
Are all 2400 players good at the game? Of course! So should they have to worry about someone like me being on the same playing field as them? I would think not, I am not 2400 and they are, by that logic why should they also have a gear advantage over me?
Meanwhile pve’rs get the finger of raid or die and even raid or die it’s like what 4 pieces of loot? Glad your having fun op I’m just sitting here counting the days till my sub runs out
So you want either gear/stat templates or no gear upgrades because you’re twice as good but don’t have time to prove it?
I think a lot of pvpers would be unhappy with that

What about m+? It’s still pretty viable for pve. Unless you’re missing warfronts/visions but I expect we’ll see something similar in a later patch

So forgive me if I’m wrong, but removing the rank requirement and just having really big conquest costs doesn’t entirely solve your issue does it? That’s what I read in that link.
That just means if you can’t hit 2400, you can still get the gear eventually, but you’re still vsing people who got it sooner?
i will never reach 2400. My class without pvp covenant would be unplayable even if i was good at pvp. And i’m not so it’s twice as impossible
And i have no friends and can’t use voice chats. Why i’m so useless

Well it depends really. If they did it how it used to be, to cost was not too much but having a higher rating gave more, which was perfect. It reworded players that spent more time without punishing ones who did not.
Lvl10 says 2400+ is the easiest way to get gear. Sounds legit. Lol
The problem is that templates were badly done, you still got stronger with more gear, just the stats were fixed.

I agree they were badly done. The pacing was really off with them. And yes, gear did increase power, but only related to ilvl and the max was 6%, so barely much.
On paper, templates sounded good, but they just disconnect PvP to much from the PvE world and aspect of what makes an MMO fun. If they fixed the pacing and just how the templates felt overall, they might have worked.
