that would just result in the game being hard pay to win, with ilvl being the only factor you can create power with. it also lock expansion features away from players who only pvp. it would also make the game stale and boring for those same pvpers. a simplified PVP game is fine if you are a pver who only queues for a random bg every once in a while on bg week, but for players who only pvp, this would kill the game as many classes simply do not function without their expansion features.
It sounds like youâre having trouble farming graveyards because your designated victims have decided to stop respawning.
This already exists. Time for those players to swipe, eh?
It seems to me getting constantly one shot and farmed in graveyards isnât a particularly interesting way to play.
You mean people who have had super PvP gear all expansion and are now moving far ahead would be bored having to play each other all the time, no longer having badly geared players to farm?
LOL no it would not how is equalizing gear p2w ? do you even know what p2w is ?? P2w is like lost ark and bdo that is p2w . Come on now are you just trolling me now ?
huh ? no it wouldnt LOL admit it you just want to keep gear how it is to rotfl stomp alliance with.
LOL just admit you like the high ilvl gap already christ no need to make excuses at this point just come out and say you dont want pvp gearing to be better . Admit you like how lopsided its become . Admit that you like people being at a huge disadvantage .
thats basically what you just admitted here .
what a joke .
I like a ilvl gap. I loved the ilvl gap in Legion WPvP especially.
I like people being at a disadvantage. I can only play the game for about 2 hours a day Monday-Friday, I do one RBG win a day and by Saturday Iâm conquest capped and Iâm 3/3 vault.
Isnât that hard to gear really.
The question is, who should the game be designed around? The top 2% best geared, and everybody else at a disadvantage? Or people who donât play much?
So youâre playing rated PvP, and you think all the casuals should be forced into rated PvP also.
you werenât asking for equal gear, you were asking for only gear to matter, the exact opposite of equal gear:
IMO a better system is a flat ilvl for everyone. build and stat customization should be key, and borrowed power systems are part of doing a good build.
lots of people only log on to pvp, they only do expansion features if they are required to for pvp. if borrowed power an expansion features are disabled in pvp, then all of the borrowed power and systems of the expansion is essentially not relevant to pvp at all, meaning no full time pvper has any reason do see them. while on the surface this sounds wonderful, it doensât take more than a few seconds of thought to realize that would only work for one season and participation would plummet the second season. the reason being that by that point the game is stale, class abilities only is showing us nothing we havenât seen for the last 15 years.
right
iâve consistently been against the ilvl for rating system since the minute it was announced and even took 2 forum vacations over it.
if you could read yes i did i said to disable pve gear in pvp
here ill requote myself will go slower so you can grasp an understanding .
this is meant for the pvers who do not have a full honor set
where anywhere in here is p2w ??? O right there is none you are just putting words in that i never said .
thats just your opinion . If anything a lot agree that there is a huge ilvl gap disadvantage. You can still have customization . Just not from your pve gear is all im saying . good lord .
no it would be the opposite it would have lots of people want to pvp , because everyone wouldnt be at a disadvantage .
sorry but the game has already been stale for the past 3 yrs now for pvp .
if you truly were then you wouldnt be against the ilvl gap my idea isnt pay to win , if anything youd be more willing to support my idea instead of saying it creates p2w LOL . Also no you didnât get a forum vacation over just bringing up the topic / talking about it you had to have done something that didnât sit with the code of conduct not sorry , because one doesnt just simply get introuble for having a civil convo .
the understanding i have of your system is that it scales everyone up to a minimum ilvl to reduce the gap but still allows one to exist via rated pvp.
im literally wearing only 3 peices of low ilvl teir with crappy stats, and the dk teir bonus isnât exactly a game changer. so atm im literally gimping my pvp performance by wearing pve gear. so whats the issue?
no, one doesnât you are trying to accuse me of advocating for a system that has destroyed a game i love and emptied my friends list. and only because i donât like your idea. grow up.
the understanding is that it will disable pve advantages in pvp .
just because your class doesnt have good ones doesnt mean other classes dont have good ones .
i mean obv you did something wrong to have been given a vacation . I am grown up im not saying other peoples ideas are p2w . You dont think i want a change too ? the game killed my friends list im the only one ever playing anymore .
you know what most my friends quit because of the gear gap ilvls and pve advantages . The current way of obtaining pvp gear isnt fun .
follow the chain, if the only advantage someone can have in pvp is ilvl, then the only thing people will care about is ilvl. that is what would drive it to be pay to win. why be a normie at the base ilvl when you can purchase a carry and have an advantage?
LOL ppl already do this . They have that right now . So you dont like my idea because you think itll make ppl buy carries ? ppl have been buying carries for awhile now .
I have better things to spend my money on then wow tokens for a temp carry for a xpac season .
Pvp tier should be available on the pvp vendor or catalyst enabled way earlier on
Tier itself is fine (unfortunate balancing for some specs), the acquisition sucks. Rng is a pve system that doesnât belong in pvp
your system would encourage it further since the only difference between players would be their ilvl. this would also mean that by end of expac, you would come into a game and still find yourself in the exact same situation we find ourselves in today. your idea solves nothing, exacerbates the current situation, and would result in a boring game.
The iLvL gap in Legion was much smaller
no it wouldnt infact it would encourage ppl to not buy wow tokens but keep telling yourself that
It wasnât, maybe in instanced PvP because of templates, but in WPvP it was huge. (which is what I just said)
Fresh level 110s would be around ilvl 760-780, where as geared 110s would be around 960 ilvl.
the problem is you are throwing out the good parts of SL pvp and keeping the one problem that has been a thorn in the side of the community: ilvl differences based on rating.
until you get rid of that, there is no point in discussing any changes to pvp because they wonât mean anything to the pvp community as long as they feel the game is designed for elite rated players to come pugstomp them.
people hardly care for random bgs if they are queing ranked all day , disabling pve tier bonuses and trinkets will help alot . We dont need extra power brought into pvp .
if you are concerned about participation in the random bg queue, deleting seething shore would bring more pvpers back into that queue than anything else. i specifically donât play that bracket because of seething shore.
IMO, blizz was on target for an excellent expansion for pvpers then then messed it all up massively at the last second with the rating for ilvl system. had they gone with a equal ilvl system for all pvpers would be singing praises about how this is the best pvp expansion ever. its literally one thing that has had everyone upset and quitting. its not the totality of the systems, the grind to just unlock everything and get to a state where you feel your toon is ready to play has been long and could use catch-up at this point, but most of my friends quit back at the start of S1, long before anyone would need any catch-up. even on the PTR for the play with the devs event, the devs didnât put up with this system, they turned on a server wide buff that scaled everyone to the same ilvl. i played in that event and it was very fun, its proof that all you need to make SL PVP amazing is to solve the ilvl problem.
