I think PvP has gotten way too bursty, and the iLvL disparity between new players and geared players is too much, the power/survivability difference is to the point where gearing an alt or starting after a long break is just standing around getting one shotted until you have enough honor.
It has been worse in the past, but it seems like devs are doubling down on this extremely bursty state of PvP.
I think tier sets should be disabled in PvP, and it’s super annoying that they timegated the creation catalyst because now teams of people who don’t raid are being one shotted by a destro lock that can fastly get off 3 chaos bolts in a bane or a marksman hunter that hits a trick shot and then double taps rapid in a resonating arrow. And some classes tier sets like affliction warlock are practically worthless.
I also have no clue why they added these annoying trinkets that are only useful for certain classes and create a situation that punishes you for ccing or makes your CC worthless.
Solo shuffle 239 ilvl is still not high enough, anyone ilvl 250 or under gets ganked in 5 seconds.
I think they need to tone down the burstyness meta.
Theres no problem here. You have infinite respawns in random battlegrounds first of all. You win some randoms you lose some randoms and eventually new players queing for random battlegrounds (Who does this lmao) eventually get better gear and either come back later or never join another random battleground ever again. Balance.
Yes it’s not difficult to get full honor uprgrade geared from random bg’s even if you lose consistently, my point is more coinciding with the current one shot/burst meta that is in my opinion not that great.
Right because dying subtracts from your infinite lives to a point where you remain dead for the entirety of the battleground. Alas, infinite lives just isnt enough.
Even with full honor gear you will get absolutely crushed by those with better gear and full tier sets. It’s really a joke. Ran into a 3 stack of 4 tier set locks yesterday in a bg. Each of them had more than triple the damage of anyone else.
I legit just play my ele for fun atm no point to push without a s tier comp. Struggling on my hunter at 2200 in 3s with 0 tier pieces with max pvp boxes since season started.
At end of the day it’s no worries I’m glad viable on my toons every season, but this slow grind to get four piece as a pvp only player really sucks.
People are legit destroying with this massive advantage that isn’t skill but time related which is annoying at least till a couple weeks from now when ppl can get full tier.
i disagree, i think the borrowed power systems are amazingly fun in pvp. it adds a ton of depth and complexity to the game allowing you to legitimately say there is an Art of PVP.
what i do think is an issue across the board with tier sets is that they aren’t all the same kind of bonus, some classes get simple passive damage increase while others get mechanically tedious and situationally specific bonuses that dont work well in pvp. this is then compounded with the fact that some specs have to choose between bis leggo and a 4 set.
Theres no problem here. If you want to complain about dying in battlegrounds go right ahead. Just remember that complaining about dying gets you nowhere in a battleground when you have infinite respawns on a 30 second timer for the duration of the battleground.
You know you’ve won the battleground when you have holy priests and the other team has none. If it’s the other way around, you know you’ve lost.
PvP has never been simpler. These Godly priests are just running around and topping people back to complete with numerous instant spells while being nearly unkillable. =(
Everyone points at RNG gear acquisition as the problem now.
In a month everyone will be pointing at the horrible state of tier/lego balance.
It would be funny to see all the Rshams, for example, complaining about a 12 yard range on their garbage 4set bonus but we won’t ever see that because all the Rshams already quit PvP lmao.
No one is going to care about gear in a month when the disparity between the “haves” and “have not” classes becomes painfully obvious as gear equalizes. There are just some specs and classes the Blizzard devs don’t play and do not give a sh!t about.
i disagree , sure its fun for you since youve always been horde so ofc its easy and fun for you . I say tier sets and pve bonuses and all pve gear should be disabled in pvp instances period . Make it auto bolster to the starter ilvl of baseline pvp gear for those who havnt grinded out a pvp set yet . Keep it baseline ilvl only tho , keep the pvp gear upgradable but nothing more then baseline ilvl is needed for bolster . That way it would even out the ilvl disparity , i dont think many hardcore pvpers would be doing epics or random bgs all day so there would only be a few higher ilvl ppl the rest would be equalized.
