PVP is a total mess. This is the worst ever design

That’s always been the problem with Ion, a skillset that begins and ends with PvE. Every design approach he has ever taken towards PvP has been a far cry from Ghostcrawlers/Holinkas designs.

It’s not hard to see that since GC/Holinka left, WoW PvP has been on a downward spiral under Ion’s direction.

I wouldn’t mind set bonuses as long as its accessible. The creation catalyst was a good idea (besides time gating it). If we actually do return to a WoD style gearing systems were there are no upgrades and the conquest gear, you get is the best pvp gear then I see few issues. Rating should reward high rated players with top-of-the-line cosmetics like it has in the past.

A player doesn’t have to use any CC and just kill you without it. 100-0 in the blink of an eye.

Yes, but he is not the PvP lead designer anymore.

He is lead combat designer which includes class design and pvp.

That’s smaller scale than having a say in how PvP gearing works. Then again, I might be wrong. I don’t know the inner workings of his job.

Game Director only plays PVE, he does not care about PVP.
