PvP interview with WoW Producer by Venruki and Technically PvP

That’s sad.

Nothing that Daxxarri said then is different now. Just because they don’t work with blizzard anymore, doesn’t invalidate what blizzard did to not allow raids into bgs.

That hasn’t changed. And the issue is still the same - it drives people away from PvP (epics specifically).

It’s clearly exploiting to be using an outside addon to circumvent the queue system to get multiple groups in.

Your selfishness to enjoy your game time is literally at the expense of someone else’s game time.

And not in a “PvP happened” way, but in a “I want to queue an epic bg and oh now I’m being farmed for 30+ minutes or I take a deserter buff” way.

To be frank, it paints a terrible picture of you imo, and probably in anyone who sees queue syncing for what it is - exploitation of game systems and terrible for the PvP ecosystem.

Will my not listening to your podcast stop others from listening? No. But I value the spirit of competition having some semblance of fairness and won’t listen again to not support such practices.

Wft is wrong with you guys? You’re attacking Gerissar for no reason. He’s joined a PvP Community to play BGs with other players i a 2-5 man group - not a premade.
I dont see any issue here.

Also, that’s all totally off-topic and kinda personal. You should be at least be some kind of ashamed by your posts, i mean serioursly what’t your problem?

All i got from that interview is they gave very boring answers to everything. “thats a great question” “we are looking into it” “its hard to do” “it might be something in the future”. That’s all you get from this WoW rep.

Companies are good at giving non answers for 30 minutes straight either cause they don’t want to reveal it until release or because they simply know answering it truthfully would make them look really bad.

It’s known as “lawyer speak”

Some people on the forums are really good at it to.

It’s impressive really how powerful it is 35 minutes of digging for knowledge and leaving with very little or nothing.

So far I’ve seen a total of three different Blizz employees officially comment on pvp in TWW. None of them work in development.

Holinka has extensive firsthand experience with how toxic WoW PvPers can be, so he’s asking us to be kind to this WoW producer.

We will start being nice when they start caring about pvp.

They will start caring about pvp when you start being nice.

Correction they’ll start caring about it when there is a decent size audience for it and once we get some new blood into it.

Unfortunately right now any and all avenues of starting pvp in wow in the year 2024 for the few actually interested in doing it are being gatekept by the 2 decade old fossilizing old gaurd in casual brackets.

How exactly are people not being “nice”?

The old catch-22… cant get new blood without new content… no new content without active interest…

Blizz are the one that can make pvp massive again. Like vanilla AV. All they have to do is put dev time on it, but it’s a high risk for them to invest in PVP.

Vanilla av was pretty bad…

multiple day long games where if the game ended and you were not present you would get nothing.

The only thing you really got was like the little 1-5 honor for killing players.

It wasn’t really about getting a participation trophy back then. It was about getting on and having fun… I would gladly lose a bg if I had fun playing it. Because if you have fun you’re more likely to requeue even if you lost. That’s the biggest problem these days everyone wants a consolation prize for everything, and they will cheat exploit and do anything to get some pointless reward.
