Pvp Gearing, something's missing

Okay I went ahead and tested making work orders for the crafted green BoEs.

On my warrior alt it cost me 15.5k gold to get all of the materials and to cover the 200g tip per crafted item. I went with the cheapest mats i could find.

I already had 2 items crafted while i was logged onto my toon.

So it looks like you can half the price if you go through work orders.

It’s still 100% not worth the time, cost, or effort when you’re still just going to be fodder for wearing them and you’ll replace them in a day or so.

Getting the honor gear isn’t that bad if you just queue epics, but when so many people do it, the chances of winning are drastically reduced for everyone else involved which makes it more difficult for them to get the conquest for the real gear.

Y’know, you could also just do the WPvP world quests. Sometimes it’ll offer 400 Bloody Coins or even a piece of WPvP gear. There’s 2 WPvP WQs to do every day, 1 weekly in Zaralak Caverns, and then the actual Sparks of Life weekly too. :dracthyr_shrug:

You don’t even need to PvP at the world quests, just kill mobs.

All of my crafting orders were filled in the time from my last post. My warrior (arms so only 1 weapon) has 450k HP with all the gear equipped and is in a much better spot to actually contribute compared to characters that cap and have 200k HP (ive even seen a hunter with 102k before)

No, you all don’t understand.
Blizzard needs to give me a full set of conquest gear as soon as I hit 70 or else PvP is terrible. Worst state it has been since launch in 2004.

And you either spent a ridiculous amount of gold on mats or spent an even more ridiculous amount of time farming those mats. Again, when that gear will be replaced in a day or two, it’s a massive waste for how little 424 will allow you to contribute. We’re talking the difference between being 1 shot and 2 or 3 shot.

Or we could keep things as they are where people are either flocking to premades because they’re desperate for a win or they lose repeatedly until they get frustrated and quit.

Progression on PVP gear could simply be for its ilvl outside of instanced PVP. But these gaps in power only serve to create woefully mismatched teams that create a miserable experience for anyone that’s trying to gear up.

I knocked it down to 15k by using crafting orders. Thats not rediculous imo. Even if it gets replaced quick, youd have a much better time starting with 450k hp instead of 200k.

Gear progression has been a part of wow pvp since its release (minus legion). If you want normalized equipment go play a different game.

I do think that questing greens should be scaled to 400ilvl so even players who wont make the bare minimum effort of buying crafted pvp gear arent completely useless in a bg.

6 losses in a row tonight in random bgs on horde side. Most horde players are “just here to get honor gear” and we are facing alliance players like Manopaws and Joker and robust groups of geared players. It’s been something.

Just join epic battlegrounds and gear up fast with honor gear.

Not complicated.

Once you have the honor gear you can do world pvp while also queueing for regular battlegrounds until you get a few conquest pieces and world pvp gear which is slightly less than conquest and fills the gaps.

Ew who would play with that guy.

The sad thing is that Alliance players are having the exact same experience. The game could be fun and competitive but Blizz seems to prefer creating severely mismatched teams which I can only assume to be as a solution to lower queue times.

That’s the impression that I get. Just caught the 7th L. One would think it is possible to do better at matching up teams with all the data that they collect.

I play like 90% solo and I have no issues with wins.
Priest that I hit 70 with today is 7-6 right now and that’s all while not even being full honor geared yet.
