PvP gearing is bad and not fun (HELP)

One of my buddies texted me the other day asking me if I wanted to catch up over some 3s

Man I would love to, BUT:

  1. I don’t have gear, azerite whatevers, essences, corrupted blah blahs, legendary cloak, any of it

  2. Doing arena isn’t the way to get it

  3. Arena won’t be fun playing with a massive disadvantage

  4. I don’t want to do other content that I don’t enjoy just so I can play arena

  5. Even if I did, my class hasn’t been fun or interesting since the day before Legion prepatch went live, so…

Yeah as much as I miss my buddy and would love to queue some 3s with him, there’s no way that it’s worth it for me to do so

Good job Blizzard. Way to trample my friendship

They are pretty much the same as set bonuses. Most of them were set bonuses…

is this fixed yet?

Man your are just chalk full of dumb comments. Azerite is nowhere near set bonuses. It was more options that they couldn’t balance so they just nerfed them all in PvP. The bonuses also have almost nothing to do with PvP unlike old set bonuses.

Not to mention you had virtually no way to ensure you got anywhere near your optimal azerite set because we get next to no residum. M+ people are fully kitted out in bis azerite traits in highest ilvl gear by the end of the season while we are lucky to scrape by with our bis trait while the rest of the traits are the Garbo ones.

Seriously man, just stop pretending bfa is anything like any previous expansion cause it’s not and you’re looking pretty pathetic trying to link them.

This dude argues that because pve gear got more and more useless in pvp that is why subs dropped.
Not the extremely long pve content patches and lack luster raids.
Someone linked his main a couple of months back and he is just some dragonslayer who has extremely good gear who likes having that advantage

Lol yea it’s not like a year long siege of ogrimmar and an abandoned expansion wouldn’t cause players to unsub or anything…

Yep, bout sums it up. Comically keeps trying to pretend like bfa is in any way close to TBC and woltk while rocking all that pve gear lol

100% agree with you.

DId you play wrath?

Google the wrath set bonuses for pve/ pvp gear. Most of them were passive stat bonuses. Azerite gear is mostly the same. There being more options is a good thing.

They needed to be balanced, not nerfed into the ground to appease players that want a pvp lobby game.

100% needs to change. PvP needs its own currency separate from PvE to prevent escalation, but usable on the pve vendor.

Google how long BT lasted until sunwell. Or how long ICC lasted until ruby sanctum which is still considered the worst raid ever.

I’m lower ilvl than you are, playing a significantly worse spec in pvp and still higher rated…

Go back to general discussion. Your kind isn’t welcome here.

Hurry there is an important dragon to kill. If you don’t stand in the fires and defeat it, Azeroth won’t be safe. Please think of Azeroth and hurry back to general discussion forums to be with your people.

You are literally posting in a thread where the op made comments like

and

While pretending that pve and pvp did not have any cross-over in vanilla through wrath.

You are literally playing a version of the game where the most powerful items were pve.

But yeah, I’m a dragonslayer because I want pve and pvp to be equal so that I can enjoy both the way I always have.

I’ve been able to completely ignore endgame PVE from TBC through Legion.

Nothing was stopping you from enjoying PVP during that time. You’re just a selfish piece of garbage who wants to ruin the game for others due to the benefit you get from your superior PvE gear. You are scum. Get out of our forum and go back to GD where you belong.

I know you can’t read, but its sad how brain-dead you are. IF pvp and pve were equal like they should be, you wouldn’t have to pve if you dont want to. But like most players that played in vanilla, bc, and wrath I could still enjoy both.

But you want MoP/ WoD pvp lobby games. Which would mean that anyone that enjoyed keys, raiding, and pvp would be crippling themselves trying to maintain 3 different gear sets. But yeah, I’m the selfish one =)

The fact that you think maintaining separate gear sets is more inconvenient than being forced to spent the majority of your limited playtime grinding content you hate so that you can even be viable in the content you enjoy shows that you are not only the selfish one, you’re an utter moron on top of it.

Go. Back. To. GD. Where. You. Belong.

You still can’t read. Why? How do you play at all without basic reading comprehension skills?

Again, they should be equal. AP, gear, essences, everything, if you just want to pvp you should be able to get it all at an equal rate. But they should be inter-changable.

If I want to spend an hour doing pvp and an hour raiding, I should be just as powerful as you spending 2 hours pvping.

Unless you don’t want to be equal. Unless you want to have an advantage over me. In which case, just say that. Say that you want a gear advantage over players that want to pve too.

In WoD you could obtain the BiS PvP gear easily, by doing only PvP, in a matter of weeks – or even a weekend if you had a large catchup cap – and everyone is then on exactly the same footing. People in this thread are asking for a return of that system, and you have the audacity to argue it’s because we want an advantage over you? The entire reason WoD’s PvP gearing was good is that everyone is running around with BiS and letting their gameplay be the deciding factor - not the number of hours they spent grinding unrelated content.

This is you right now: “all the misery and suffering the PvP community is facing due to the new gearing system is worth it, because it saves me a few bag spots”

Bt was 10 months icc was 9 months. But it was 5 months before ruby before any guild actually killed H LK. So siege without even a filler raid was longer than either of those.

You weren’t higher rated than me

You talk like this when you had to go to someone to que. Meaning you weren’t able to do anything but sit in one spot waiting for the que to pop.
When they changed it you could go out in the world and do things between ques

Also wrath with random heroic que you could get ICC gear just running your heroics a day

Again, then just be honest. You don’t want vanilla, you don’t want BC and you don’t want Wrath.

You want a pvp lobby game. That is fine. As long as you understand that is not an adventure mmorpg and it’s not how the game was when it was most popular. I am not sure why you are shocked that some players want WoW to be what it advertises itself as.

That’s cute. It’s selfish, but cute. Unless you actually think that the millions of players that quit in mop/wod, that want the mmo back don’t matter either, as long as you can afk queue in town and that there can’t be any compromise.

Which is weird, because you are playing with a lot of them in classic right now…
