Bring back currency, bring back vendors, duels, pvp hangouts etc rating requirements were fun it gave inscentive to get that 1550 or 1750 or 1800 or 2k for shoulders and weapons, let farming bgs/ arenas let you earn pts towards buying stuff you want, screw the rng random loot drops its boring, let pvp gear ilvl be relevant same as pve gear you shouldnt get welfare epics from pve content that increases your power in pvp, pve is pve and pvp is pvp the gear doesnt need to be universal if you want to do one or the other then work for it and do the content, most pvp gear is !@#$ in pve cause of stats like vers but yet pve ilvl is free high gear for pvp like what.. and also its a mmo!! character progression is a good thing, if you play only 5 hours your gear should suck and you should be weak people that play daily should be stronger its how life works you invest time and get better and obtain things catering to ppl that dont play makes it boring for everyone, if you wanna do great and get better you need to play and should be rewarded for it! Also lfg is aids it needs to be changed somehow or replaced with a better system atleast update it so u cant que for stuff that ur not within 50 cr of or something and im sure there is more that could be added as well, if u have ilvl gate why wouldnt you have cr gate so ppl looking dont get screwed over come on blizzard fix pvp before its dead you had some nice systems before just reimplement good things and add/expand on some, more rewards for every level of play from low cr to high, cosmetics/ borders/ mounts/ ranks / gear stuff you can work for not rng and also not just glad rank1 rewards which still just a mount n title like come on my doods!

I think that would be great with the current PR system they use now, it would be very useful. The issues that were had back then were mainly through the pve crowd not being happy with how good the gear was.
Maybe.... MAYBE.... a scaling weapon...
MAYBE....MAYBBBEEEE..... scaling armor
So, the idea would be.
You can get an "ok" set of armor initially.
As you get your rating up, you can unlock it like how our artifact weapons were. They actually did an AMAZING job with that system and I hope they don't completely remove it.
I personally feel that it shouldn't be unlock "all of them" but rather it be like the talent calculators used to be, where you had to pick and choose your stats.
So the idea would be... as you get your rating up, you can UNLOCK the gear and make it better.
Also, it would take a currency to do so, just like how they gave us arena points. Set a cap on what you can get, aka what you can unlock. It would stop the pve'ers from being mad at free gear, it would give people something to aspire to, and so on.
oh... and also, it should be through a 1v1 bracket because....

12/10/2017 11:02 AMPosted by VenrukiI've played 219 games of arena this season at roughly 2500 MMR & 2400 CR. So far this season I've received 0 upgrades. The only pieces of PvP gear that remain for me are 2 pieces of elite warforged, something most players would never have access to. What's really disheartening is this problem is even worse for casual, low rated and mid tier PvPers.
People should feel incentivized to play all aspects of WoW. Currently PvP gear has taken a massive back seat and as a result participation and interest feels lower than ever.
This alone basically sums it up completely. There is literally NO incentive to PvP anymore apart from the obvious fun aspect of it. They absolutely need to bring back vendors that sell gear that is competitive with raid gear, just make it a harder grind so it's not super "easy" to get geared and make arena ratings really mean something again.
Hello everyone,
Where to begin, first I have nothing higher that 1500 in 2's and 1600 in rbg. I enjoy pvp just to pvp. However i noticed that my interest in playing wow now is zero. I pretty much quit playing wow. I would log in and log back out just cause there is no real incentive for me to play. The gear scaling and the rng of pvp gear is so dissatisfying. What drove me to continuously to play was the pvp gear grind for honor then conquest. As the grind progressed so did my rating which in turn wanted me to continue on. Now with the scaling i don't feel the need to get gear just to play for rating well with only logging in to play in set time for rbg for the guild my interested slowly died, eventually i just stopped playing.
Even though i don't hate to pve i just find it boring to do. So i tend stay away from it as a whole even the world quest i find it annoying. To me this is no longer a game that i use to enjoy. Before I enjoyed doing pvp and gearing for pvp didn't matter to me if i couldn't raid. But with legion it forced me to pve which started my lack of interest in play wow. So now today i checked first time in over a month i was still ilvl 910 on my main. I was like well i could do some raid to raise the ilvl or try to do some rated pvp. But i simply just logged out knowing that unless i raid gear doesn't matter. Knowing that the rng from pvp is way less than even raiding i couldn't get the motivation to just play. I know a lot of people have talked about how to change the system and how the felt about it. I just want to give my story on why i decided to stop playing. So until they make changes in gearing in BFA i will not resubscribe i will just let my subscription run out.

Blizzard you have echoes of battle already in the game with a vendor. Can we get the item lvl bumped to 935, remove RNG items for bg's replace the daily win with 25 echoes of battle and 5 per win after. Add rings, neck, trinkets, they are already in the game via relinquished vendor.
Make elite gear the new conquest, you earn it from the weekly 2s, 3s, rbg. Make elite drop for 2k+ players often for winning. Elite gear should be 955+.
Prestige levels should reward a piece of elite gear per prestige after level one.
Easy fix for everyone!

The problem is easy to solve. Everyone forgets about one things. There are real workers (designers, testers, etc.). If Legion PvP system is so awful and gets so many PvP playersâ dissatisfaction SOMEONE should be fired. Thatâs why PvP designers never admit mistakes in 6 months before BfA.
Remember this thread before you buy BfA.
The largest PvP issue in months with unanimous agreement and urgency between the player-base amounts to absolutely nothing despite a small hotfix being able to address it completely.

I just came back after a long break and I am totally lost when it comes to gearing up for pvp. It's like a totally new game. I mean, you need 75 echoes of battle for 1 peace of gear and you only get 99% of the time 1 EoB from breaking down 870+ pvp gear. Thats just plain weird...
I really hope BFA goes back to the something that was fun because if it doesn't. I guess I will be done with retail and get my pvp fill in private servers.
Blizzard I hope you are listening to your player base. If player base is at a all time low you have no one but yourselves to blame. People still love this game.

Oh yes!!!! Scaling wps and armour, would be like awesome! PLEASE!!!!
Bump
Blizzard has recently become more willing to listen to the player base, and they have learned from not listening to the player base and it bit them pretty hard (remember Warlords...? yeah... that's what happens when you don't listen, now they want to try to forget it like Germany wanted to forget WWII after the Allies took them down, but i digress).
It is important to voice your concerns on the forums and hope that they listen, so don't sleep on this thread! Keep it up!
Also, thank you Venruki for creating this thread, we need the conversation to continue

Agreed.
It is weird that they havenÂŽt said ANYTHING, but ANYTHING regarding PVP or WPVP for BFA but the Opt in and Out of WPVP stuff. Gentlemen i fear for the future of PVP and WPVP.
12/10/2017 11:02 AMPosted by VenrukiHello friends, I am writing this post due to recent concerns regarding PvP gear.
Apologize in advance for the massive use of the terms "PvP gear" and "PvE gear".
The only advantage PvP gear has in PvP or any other aspect of the game is its item level. PvE set bonuses and trinkets are still far superior in both high end raiding and high end mythic dungeons. This makes sense, high end raiding and dungeons should have beneficial gear for their type of game play.
The issue I'm having is now PvE gear is both easier to obtain and higher item level then its PvP counterpart. Gearing has essentially become irrelevant in PvP and has really taken a back seat this expansion. As a result, its feel like participation is down more than ever.
I'll give you a bit of an anecdote: I've been playing the game since vanilla and haven't really dipped my feet in much PvE content since early WOTLK. This expansion with +10/+15 chests rewards from Mythic+, I decided it was worth my time to complete this task weekly. I didn't feel like I was wasting my time and ended up enjoying the content as a way to progress my character. As a result I've come to really enjoy this type of content and now participate in Mythic raiding as well. If there wasn't that initial incentive to try the content and feel good about getting gear, I never would of done it in the first place.
With that in mind I'd like to now compare ways to gear in PvP content vs PvE content. Strictly in terms of item level here's a list from worst to best.
845 From normal dungeons
870 Random battlegrounds
885 Mythic +0
900 Crafting with blood of sargeras
900 Chest from winning a brawl once every two weeks.
910 Reliquished
915 LFR Antorus
925 LFR Argus
930 Normal Antorus
930 Rare drop from being 2400 rated in arena and winning a match.
940 Guaranteed from every mythic +15
940 Weekly PvP cap for being 2000 rated in arena.
940 Normal Argus
945 Heroic Antorus
950 Weekly PvP cap for being 2400 rated in arena.
955 Heroic Argus
960 Mythic Antorus & Weekly chest from m+ 15
970 Mythic Argus
These aren't the only ways of gearing but most.
For a new or casual player it's easy to see why gearing in PvE is not only much more rewarding but also guaranteed.
Do you know how many times I've heard my PvP buddies say "Lets go get our weekly +15 done" compared to my PvE friends saying "Lets go get 2400 rating so we can get our weekly cap done!". Even if you completely disregard the difficulty of achieving that rating in PvP, there's a monumental time difference in the two tasks, they're not even comparable. And yet, the weekly chest is still higher item level.
A reasonable item level to compete at higher end PvP and PvE is around 940.
Anyone aiming for this goal wouldn't waste their time PvP.
Reminder:
940 Guaranteed from every mythic +15 (GUARANTEED FOR COMPLETING, NOT EVEN IN TIME)
940 Weekly PvP cap for being 2000 rated in arena. (ONCE A WEEK)
940 Normal Argus (ONCE A WEEK)
945 Heroic Antorus (10 BOSSES A WEEK)
950 Weekly PvP cap for being 2400 rated in arena. (ONCE A WEEK)
955 Heroic Argus (ONCE A WEEK)
960 Mythic Antorus (10 BOSSES A WEEK) & Weekly chest from m+ 15 (ONCE A WEEK)
970 Mythic Argus (ONCE A WEEK)

Am I alone in feeling this way?
No offense venruki but pvp in general isn't really fun. Lack of a community doesn't help it's cause. I get this is a very valid complaint but lets also not forget about features that need to happen (SoloQue and more incentives to play). 10/10 on topic but I think more dire matters need to be addressed.
What i dont get is pve has pve servers so they can raid and quest as much as they want unbothered so how in the world did they let pve gear reign supreme ? Easy solution is allow us to get our pvp gear by doing pvp. Lower the pve stats on the
pvp gear per same gearscore as a pve piece by say 15 pct but add two stats on pvp gear additionally. Resilience and pvp power which makes our gear less powerful in pve but more powerful against players in the world.

This giant embarrassment almost fell off the front page!
Bump for more feedback & discussion about item level THIS season, so blizzard can actively discuss and track our opinions for NEXT expansions testing cycle! Bfa will fix everything.

Unfortunately, it apparently isn't going to be a problem that goes away any time soon either, as this season is apparently going to extend for longer than the others.02/21/2018 06:33 PMPosted by BlingtronThis giant embarrassment almost fell off the front page!

Bumping this because I really want conquest, honor and catch-up in the next expansion. MoP vendor system and weekly caps were rewarding and fun. Also can we have 5s back? Such a unique and fun mode for when you had multiple friends on
Blizzard has community managers to heard audience needs. Where are they? 700 posts topic. They'd live here to calm down people.
Câmon! What's wrong with âem?
If they keep screwing us, I start LinkedINing the topic to Blizzard CEO etc. to show how our problems, suggestions, and experiences are ignored by devs and community managers.
