Glad to see the devs took immediate action to fix this problem after seeing our concerns. Keep up the good work blizzard. /sarcasm
Shocked to see we finally got some recognition from a Blue. I know I'm late to the party, but that does give a little bit of hope. Maybe we'll see something positive next expansion.
12/10/2017 11:07 AMPosted by Mabusyes, and yes.. I *honestly* miss the old system of grinding honor and conquest to get gear..
You hit it on the nail here,
" As a result, its feel like participation is down more than ever."
Because for example myself, I haven't really tried to PVP at all this expansion since PVE gear was easier to obtain. I miss PVPing with the aspect of being able to get better gear.
This.
to say the truth, templates is kinda dumb atm. Since we havent see any kind of the promissed "balance hotfix" in pvp in a while.
So the question is, why do we have templates if u dont even use it to balance classes?

same thing that many people said on the last days of wod and what do you know, here we are again
To be fair, I think they realized people were getting tired of the teeter totter meta, where something is strong, then it isn't, then it's strong again.. Early on in the expansion it felt like you could wake up the next day and your class would have a 50% buff, or a 50% nerf...01/24/2018 06:44 AMPosted by Draugussto say the truth, templates is kinda dumb atm. The right answer isn’t to completely stop trying to balance. Blizz needs to learn from successful pvp games on how to nerf things. 2% nerfs to damage dealt of taken are common in games like league.
I fully agree, I never understood why they did 30% changes and didn't just do like, 5% each week to see how it plays out... answer is, they're probably lazy lol.01/24/2018 12:05 PMPosted by Vindi01/24/2018 11:47 AMPosted by Fox... ^^ this they don’t feel like paying more people to patch / bugtest for something they consider a minigame
Well, templates have been helpful, i mean, i fell that in a lot of ways the BGS and RBGs are currently even fun, and "even" at some point, when you know how to use your class on PVP. However once you are out of the PVP instanced game, all of that is worth nothing compared to your encounters in world or while on Duels, which are intended for people to try and improve in instanced PVP or show off that they can play well in PVP. I have called for some Blue to "throw us a bone" in the PVP aspect of the game with little to no success, there is only hope for the next Expansion.
Must be embarrassing to be called out by your own PVP poster boy (and underwear ambassador no less) and a page of R1 players to boot.
I think you guys need to "promote" few more employees into working on your "top secret project" (aka Blizzard Parking Lot Police).
Stop hiring bunch of kids high on Mountain Dew that wanna work on a bean bag and get some real employees.

It's a joke that random battlegrounds award 870 gear. What is that equivalent to, normal dungeons? Should have had prestige increase the quality, so like if you did the massive grind to 25 (I think I'm level 8 on my main) then the ilvl this season could scale all the way up to 930 (normal Antorus quality). Would have given players not interested in arena or rated battlegrounds a grind they can do to progress via PvP, a grind somewhat similar to the honor system from Vanilla.

If Ion Hazzikostas got a flat tire, he would do a whole geological rock analysis of the pavement.
Then he would send Holinka with a metal detector to look for nails and sharps.
Celestalon would come next to pressure hose the pavement with obnoxious neon blue hair dye.
Lore would do an interview to explain the internal discussions they have been having due to Ion's flat tire.
Just change the damn tire guys!!
I would like PvP if it was just that; player v. player. But it's not. It's gear v. gear. On top of that, there is a huge power difference between item levels.
I used to grind for PvP gear, but by the time I got 1/2 a set, the new season would start and render that progress obsolete. I was always behind the 8-ball in PvP because I don't log the time that some do.

It feels so unrewarding to be in the top 2% of the arena ladder and be 20 points lower in item level than pve players. None of the players i play with are above 955.

This.
There isn't anything to discuss as it has been discussed since Legion alpha.
Honestly I have stopped playing off and on due to the gearing system for pvp.
I miss the MoP system.

01/09/2018 02:15 PMPosted by OmegalOf course, when they fix it so PVP gear is competitive again, there will be a 21 page thread from pvers who feel forced to pvp for gear.
This has been a no win situation for years, and it has literally gone back and forth for years. Either pvp gear is good and pvers are unhappy, or pvp gear is bad and pvpers are unhappy.
They'll probably do something like make gear irrelevant in world pvp with scaling to try and bandaid it
Well, it makes perfect sense to excel in the end game content you choose to play. I don't understand...
Yeah, PvPers can complain because they can't truly PvP to survive in PvE, now even in WPvP.
PVErs can easily PvE for the advantage in every single aspect of the game.
This is because PvErs complain about having to PvP to PvP????
As a PvPr I'm perfectly fine with not being able to PvE through PvPing.
PvErs logic, I eat fatty foods, I should be buff.
PvPers logic, I eat fatty foods, Im fat and okay with it.
Blizzard, how does your very one side, backwards solution to your Pre-Medonna PvEers work?
TL;DR
PvP to dominate in PvP
PvE to dominate in PvE
YES
PvE to dominate in PvE, PvP and WPvP
PvP to... be able to handle world quests at most?
$@#! NO.
Uhhhh? The power gap between gear in instanced PvP is less than it's ever been before... 10 item levels = 1% stats... Any expansion previous to this, 10 item levels would be a huge difference.01/26/2018 12:35 AMPosted by RakhanrofI would like PvP if it was just that; player v. player. But it's not. I’m sorry but can anyone else imagine venruki whining in real life like a little B like “ ohhh nooo pvp gearing is so BAD and not FUN” goodness that guy is sooo toxic and his stream bores ppl to tears
