PVP Gear needs to go

Just an opinion. Scale everyone to the same ilvl in pvp, making it 100% skill based and remove the time-gate to enjoying pvp.

It would increase particpation of the average player. MMR and Rating are enough to filter players for match making.

Personally the dynamic nature of pvp is enough to keep me playing, however the meaningless miserable hours spent being useless simply due to gearing to be competitive is a roadblock to many players.

The majority of casual battlegrounds are stacked due to gear disparity. And if you make the wrong choices with the limited conquest points your character is essentially bricked for pvp until late season!.. A trap that snares people new to pvp!

Any serious pvp player wont care about it either because they are sufficiently skilled to still melt lesser players.

I would just like to be able to jump on whatever level 80 character I have and pvp without the grind.

They tried that.

PvPers QQ’d so much that it got reverted the next expansion.

If they actually make it a fair environment, sure.

Legion left PvPers with 0 gear avenues for other content (PvE content and irronically world PvP)

Someone doing high level PvE also had an advantage since item level was tied to power.

The difference between fresh 110 and full mythic tomb of sargeras gear (S3) is the same power gap as Honor gear is to conquest gear now.

Honestly if they upped the cosmetic and pve rewards for PVP while normalising ilvl, more players would play.

Right now you can get champion and 4/8 vet geat. Throw in some hero tract stuff for rating+ conquest… gives another gearing avenue.

People player Overwatch and all they get is rating and cosmetics… and that game is a dumpster fire.

No because this also an rpg…

Are you mad that you have to play the game to be able to play the game?

I’d rather not have the PvP players whining and crying about “oh I am FoRcEd to do delves/raids/mythic for PvP gear!! Reeeee!” And then having those activities nerfed or changed for their convenience.

PvP gear is the way to do it, let’s keep it.

No, get the pvp gear it’s super simple. I don’t even want you pve andy’s in my games. I don’t want to do pve to pvp.

I mean when a fresh 80 is like 400 ilvls below the rest I get it, and I dont even pvp

Its not playing though. It’s a no win scenario forced upon players for no other purpose than boosting the fragile egos of basement dwellers.

Sounds like you don’t even want to pvp. Get the honor gear and start from where everyone else did. Or stay out of pvp which i would prefer you did instead.

Wth are you talking about…

Issue with templates are blizzard makes them not pvpers. Wrong stat allocation broke a lot of specs in wod.

Making pvp gear free with the appearances unlocking after X games played for honor and conquest would be the far better solution. It would make a even playing field and let people properly prep characters.

I wish I knew!

Putting up a time-gate to meaningful participation in pvp is bad.

There are other reward systems that would work equally well.

Bruh the bloody tokens cap is so high you just go do some world quests with war mode on and are basically 3 ilvl s below full conquest instantly

Pretty easy to catch up

Are we talking about pvp scaling? Because that was such an awful disaster that it should never have been implemented to begin with.

“Oh hey guyz lets make 200 ilvl nearly as strong as 480 lol, but wait let’s also hide the numbers too!”

Its not a terrible solution. Still hurts to burn your catalyst charges though for tier. Making the conversation item to require anything but honor was dumb.

Theres not enough to get all slots.

Your are then limited to whatever spec you geared for. And if you plan it incorrectly your charactered is bricked for pvp.

Issue was stat allocation not strength… pvp should have equal combatants not grinding for power.
