Been looking around everywhere, and I haven’t been able to find any of the Season 2 gear on the PTR. Shouldn’t there be some arena gear available for honor points during the pre patch? Everything costs Arena Points at this time for S4 & S3(in gadgetzan). I’ve looked in Shattrath, Area 52, Nagrand, Orgrimmar, and Gadgetzan.

Pvp vendor for tbc is in gadgetzan in wotlk. You can find it there in the prepatch. Last time I checked the costs weren’t updated and still cost the same amount as it does on live tbc classic. S4 even still had it’s rating requirements.

Yeah, vengeful and brutal gear is there, but both are for Arena Points. There is nothing for honor what so ever.
You could never buy S4 gear with honor until well after Wrath. It continues to retain the point and rating requirement in Wrath.
Yeah, totally understand that but they’ve completely removed S2 gear and never changed S3 to cost honor. Not concerned with S4 gear.
Are you sure you checked all of the vendors by the cage thing? I’m 90% sure that I saw s1/s2 gear on one of the four goblins there.
Yeah, saw s4 weapons vendor(Vixton Pinchwistle), All S4 item vendor(Ecton Brasstumbler), and All S3 gear vendor (Evee Copperspring). Also an Arena Organizer and an Arena Battlemaster.
I’ve been wrong once before, that’s weird then, I was planning on getting some pvp gear on some alts during prepatch too so it’d be shame if it was all gone.
Blizzard needs to address this asap.
Basically at a stand still here with 0 communication from Blizzard. Spend my honor on Season 2 gear for leveling, risking that S3 gets reduced to honor in prepatch OR don’t spend it and get screwed out of being able to buy any gear.
A little communication goes quite a long ways.
I can’t say for sure, but I remember honor and/or pvp marks being converted to gold at some point in original tbc->wotlk. I just don’t remember if it was on prepatch launch or wotlk launch and I don’t know if it would happen for this launch. I’ve been just spending my honor as if it’s going to get wiped. I guess if they somehow don’t release s1/s2 then I’d still be doing the right thing? It would be nice to know all this for sure.
Don’t quote me on this, but I am almost certain that with original WotLK release. the prepatch turned Arena points → Honor, Arena points were no longer obtainable(as well as any arena gear). Then with WotLK release, all honor was converted to gold to not allow people to store it up for level 80.
But again, this was 14 years ago.
Edit: I have checked both PTR and Beta, and the vendors are the same in both.

See I play alliance I mean I can tell you on the PTR it’s in stormwind I don’t know maybe they just haven’t put it back in yet I don’t know my take on it is I don’t care what anyone says I remember being on the bike at least season 3 for honor in wrath prepatch originally.
Again 15 years ago plus So I may be remembering that wrong but still even if it wasn’t back there at prepatch I still say every single pvp peace should be available For honor during the prepatch there’s literally no reason not to especially since we are not going to be able to get conquest during prepatch.
At least assuming the PVP season ends before it hits I could be wrong about this but to my understanding you are not able to get conquest Unless there is A PVP season going on in tbc.
So again I do not see the reason why The PVP gear cannot be for honor during prepatch what would be the reason ?
Just checked Prepatch PTR and the only vendors that are there are Consumables/Tabard, Vanilla pvp gear, Vanilla pvp Weapons and S4 Boot/belt/bracer/accessories vendor. Which is the same as it is in Org, but there are no TBC vendors in SW.
Edit: and the mount vendor of course.
I mean maybe they got rid of them but the last time I logged on the ptr they were there?
And it wouldn’t be they just added the tbc gear to the current vendors that we’re there is how it Works
Just checked the Gadgetzan vendors in the beta and the s1/s2 gear still isn’t available but the s3/s4 gear is and it’s available for honor with no rating requirements for any of the gear. 28k honor for 2h weapons, 19k for MH, 9.1k for OH, 26k for caster 1h, 13k for relic/wand, 15k for shields, 15k for chest/legs/helm, 12k for gloves, 13k for shoulders (all of this is for s4 gear). S3 gear ranges from a couple thousand less honor for each set piece to 11k off for the 2h weapons and half for caster 1h.
