Its funny watching people use the heirloom argument and pretend they dont know what 7.3.5 did to them
They know what happened to them. They even know Heirlooms are outclassed by quite a lot of gear.
Dishonesty is common here.
Also inb4 someone calls you an alt.
Most of us transferred to the same server, had upwards of 40 people on early in the split. The bg’s were glitched for the expoff crowd. People lost interest and most weren’t going to just play on one given night for 1 or 2 matches once the queues were fixed.
link the gear in question then.
Just because he only has 50k kills on this character doesn’t mean he doesn’t has as many on any number of his alts.
Also, lips don’t get shiny from salt… they get dry and cracked.
Any dungeon blue with sockets. Their stats are equal, but the sockets allow for massively increased primary stats. So much so that in the 70’s bracket there can be differences of up to 200 int between someone with enchanted heirloom/BoE gear and someone loaded with sockets.
Weapons with procs such as The Untamed Blade, Sul’thraze the Lasher, and Princess Theradras’ Scepter (However I think Sul/Scepter are being nerfed next patch, still better as of now.)
So assuming that whichever glitches existed them have been addressed, would xp-off queues really be so intolerable if done again today? Algorithms that draw players from ALL regional servers versus just a few is a pretty large difference.
I’m just not buying into the whole “We only do it for the community and to escape the treadmill. Getting to farm levelers is just an unfortunate sacrifice that we’re willing to make for shorter queues.”
Hey, here’s a good question… why don’t brackets end at the 10’s?
Like you know… level 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120?
Is it because Blizzard wants players to not have certain powerful abilities and gear available to them that’s typical of those levels?
Yea I’m more out classed than out geared.
Because if the brackets ended in the 10’s that would open up for… say Paladins for example, the ability to use something like Stormherald in the 70 bracket which is incredibly useful for Justicar’s Vengeance which is an instant crit when the target is stunned.
Otherwise, all of these top tier weapons in their respective brackets are essentially useless.
This was my main issue with the queue. 39s would only schedule queues during the week days. I’m not usually on enough to really enjoy games during the week. Weekends work much better for me. Several years I missed out on 39 queues because I couldn’t commit to the “schedule”.
However, I will say this. The 39 bracket did come together 1 time for me and other like me that couldn’t meet the “schedule” and made games pop on a Saturday for us.
I respect the twink community highly for what they did. I just cannot commit to a schedule, which is what it will devolve into if xp on/off is reintroduced.
Most of hit twink “alts”, while he claims BiS - and perhaps rightfully so, have less than 5k hks. It appears that he genuinely enjoys building them then flaunting them as BiS. I have no issues with the building, but coming here and saying he speaks for all twinks is another issue.
I enjoy playing. I enjoy a good close match that gets the blood pumping. You all want to paint us all as GY farming, mouth-breathing, keyboard turning idiots.
I guess we are at an impasse, I refuse to restrict my gearing because levelers refuse to gear.
If Blizz would have left the exp alone from 7.3.5 instead of nerfing it like they did, this would probably be a non-issue.
Brackets use to be like this in early vanilla
EDIT
I stand corrected, on his second account he has the 250k. My bad
Ah, I started in BC so the brackets were already ending in the 9’s.
Also, I just realized that Justicar’s Vengeance is a lvl 75 ability which means it couldn’t be used with Stormherald. I suppose that’s fair though.
Except milestone hk achieves are accountwide up until 250k
Go to wowhead and compare heirlooms to dungeon drops.
Be amazed as the complainers look silly.
Post can’t be empty.
Why not balance the gear then? Blizzard seems to be on a spree right now. Hop on the wave.
I would argue that socket gear should be better than regular drops, but if 10+ main stat each piece is to much, reduce the main primary stat by 5 or so. Would you be accepting of a 100 INT difference? 50 INT difference? Where is your line for balance?
I guess I fail to see how imbalanced gear is an xp on/off problem.
This isn’t a thread about imbalanced gear, but you can easily find (and you’ve probably already seen) my arguments about that. I was just correcting two people outright lying and claiming there is no imbalanced gear.
Sorry, I was simply trying to have a conversation and get your thoughts I guess. “Keeping the topic alive” and everything. Right now there are more posts than views
Um yea it is. All these twink threads are focusing on gear. Luckily, Blizzard is as well.
