More convoluted artificial tuning. Guess I won’t be PvPing for the next 4 days. Stop messing everything up and just implement resilience already.

It feels pretty good so far. But I do think that the damage reduction is double dipping on certain abilities, such as Chimera Shot - Serpent. Serpent Sting gets the -30% reduced damage and since Chimera Shot - Serpent scales off of Serpent Sting, it gets reduced of course. But then it gets further reduced by another 30%. Mine was hitting for ~350 before, now it’s hitting for ~173ish.

Flat reduction nerfs like this are not the answer. They weren’t the answer last weekend, they aren’t the answer this weekend. They will never be the answer. Stop.

I have hard time understanding this one. So you are damping healing for the first 10 second of the fight to give people burst time and then if they didn’t die, it will like “okay you tried and it didn’t work so now it’s gonna get even more difficult ?” Why can’t it be a fixed -10% to healing ?

Also 20% physical and 30% spell reduction is weird to me. That’s an acknowledgement that casters are a bit too powerful in PvP. However, caster’s edge over physicals doesn’t come from the fact that they do more raw DPS. If that was the case casters would top the charts in PvE but they don’t. The reason behind casters edge over physical damage dealers in PvP is all of these new powerful instant abilities with very high dmg and very low mana cost. This design is not aligned with the philosophy of vanilla and is obviously causing issues. So an extra 10% dmg reduction for casters is the wrong solution here.

The point of resilience is to reduce damage taken for people who go farm the gear, and not getting it for free for just existing.

I think ideally they should remove this fixed damage reduction and add 30% health to everybody. And then add some resil gear that provides max of 30% damage reduction if full set is obtained.

What we have now in stv and bgs is essentially this, but without the gear requirement.

And this is still classic. You should be able to pvp with pve gear.

You are not wrong on that. What I am suggesting is more TBC than Vanilla. But since I consider TBC part of classic, at least everything before patch 2.3, it’s really not that much off to go with that. Essentially I think a TBC- project is more solid and successful than a Vanilla+.

that creates the same problem as resil gear though. pvers get stomped hard if they try to pvp cause of gear. i like how it is now where you can bring pve gear to pvp and pvp gear to pve.

Yea, pvp gear should offer extra stam and useful set bonuses, and be a viable gear path for people who don’t want to raid. Having a global damage reduction in pvp is a better solution.

50% is too light actually make it 75% mortal stike aura

So far I have only done world pvp on the incursion ramp. The damage reduction is noticeable but things are still pretty quick.

I don’t really think the healing reduction is warranted tbh. Maybe it is different in bgs and stv.

No, resilience gear was always pvp focused, with less int and more stam. People who were PvEers would still get demolished because they wore raid gear, that did more damage at the expense of survivability. A blanket damage reduction is a terrible idea, and a blanket mortal strike effect is even worse…

When are you guys going to finally Fix Warlock Pets spawning everywhere with Half Life?!

Act Like we are Shamans or Spriest because if we were one of those classes the fix would have been in WEEKS AGO!

If we are looking for a fair competitive PVP game, I think we know where to look lol (CS, LOL, etc etc). Instead focus on bring us a classic plus experience and not the retail grinding crap and balancing classes every other week for the hardcore PVP or PVE experience. Since Season 3, many people are just down to logging on once a week for raid. The nightmare incursion is clearly boring. Instead bring us something creative like a zone level conflict every 3 hours and meaning reward? 1 on 1 PVP balance only feed into people’s ego and no class will ever feel “balance”.

For the love of all that is holy if you just nerf Shamans more everything will be great again. Cancer will be cured, birds will sing, and children will laugh again.

melee needs the 10% added to match caster damage I believe rogues are still broken, granted I get it the class niche though. Spriests still very powerful with the toolkit
