PvP Damage Reduction Test #2 - May 3

Got hit by a paladin and theh ealing debuff was 50% not 20%. Blizz messed up again big surprise

Things are feeling a lot better as an hpal right now. Definitely an improvement from earlier in the week. I still see shaman almost 1-tapping people with crit lava burst when it procs the second one plus they flame shock. We still leave a lot to be desired when comparing to shaman. Maybe letting one of our runes also refresh holy shock when we crit a heal with a 6second internal CD? lack of instant heals really hurts compared to the other classes.

Personally, I think it would be impactful to reduce the casting speed penalty from curse of tongues in pvp. 60% is a lot when you can’t be decursed and it lasts for 3 minutes. maybe 30-40% would still be hugely impactful while not making it impossible to cast before someone dies from 1 dps being on them. I don’t see a lot of mages/druids in AB so the only way I’ve been able to get rid of it is bubble or dying. It would also be great for seals to not be dispellable (their debuffs are fine). Anyway, just some thoughts.

It is not a personal insult, it is a general insult. All the pvp games get ruined by the reddit cry baby bums because they like slow paced boaring gameplay. It’s lame and I’m sick of it. I can global the majority of people on era and there has never been damage reduction there.

Ya a shaman is never beating a good hunter unless they use grenades/rocket helm. Good mages and spriests are also annoying to beat. Boomkins that poke from max range too. A rogue you have to decoy the opener if you eat a full stun lock your dead. This guy is clearly a BUM that already admitted defeat.

Another example of a BUM… Dies in 2 seconds while losd some how. If you died in 2 sec how were you LOS? Sounds more like you over extended and got converged on and died. Melee have to be a lot more careful in BGs it has always been this way. Unless you have 6-7 melee being healed that can just barge in and rush the ranged to out pressure them you will die.

This BUM doesn’t know it has a 15 sec cd. If people are dying in 2 seconds how on earth could he have time to to recast it. He should of been dead 13 seconds ago.

I’ve played for a few hours today, tbh it feels pretty solid, maybe I’ve just been lucky and had super cracked healers but it feels like healing isn’t oppressive, but still important of course, I’m not getting instagibbed from ranged, heals are actually keeping melee up through damage but it’s not like you can’t kill through heals being CCed

Your healing is based off damage done. The reductions are double dipping you the same way they are Warlocks.

Damage reduction needs to be on a per class basis. These flat reductions do not solve the issue. There’s no reason a rogue, shaman or druid should do as much damage as a warrior or hunter. They have so many tools to disable, or heal in comparison to warrior and hunter. Hybrid tax must be enforced.

I have 2 R14 rogues one each side on ERA. My ally Rogue on ERA is ally whitemane.

Im always a rogue main. I alt druid. I have been playing some sham and hunter tho.

Nothing is as broke as Mutilate in pvp

Also, fun fact: this change combo makes Wound Poison THROUGH THE ROOF OP vs anything that heals thru damage due to the fact that its a flat rate reduction. With the global healing reduction + the global damage reduction, wound poison against anything that deals damage to heal (mage healers, warlocks) could theoretically push the healing down to single digits per tick. Like, below Renew levels of healing.

When i said previously that touching healing done was a bad idea, this is a reason why. A reason even i didnt think of initially.

If you are getting killed in a single starsturge then you are a fresh 50 and/or undergeared

But i kill them too in single frostfirebolt 1800+ crit. PvP is just garbage in SoD. Also how can you be undergeared if there is no resilience pvp gear in the game?

Yeah I mean mage heals is basically a bad paladin healer with more CC, but its better then just getting 1 shot by everything and your healing not mattering at all. I found little use outside of spaming chronostatic and putting on a beacon to a target getting focused so I could rewind time on them. The actual do damage to heal thing isn’t great, but that’s honestly ok, its miles better then being near useless like before lol

I have never been hit with a frostbolt crit that high before or after the reduction. Keep making up numbers?

I mean my spellfrost bolts with fairly good gear are hitting for 400-450, critting for 900 ish, when people have upwards of 6k hp sometimes, its a laughable amount, I mostly use it for filler damage when I’m not being focused. I don’t have like any damage in this healing build lol
