PVP Cowardice!

Why wouldn’t you try hard? It’s PvP. Kill or be killed. Why wouldn’t you do your absolute best in a competitive situation?

I do try hard…
Sometimes too hard…
Sometimes the lines between my character and me get blurred…

War mode is hilarious, I’ve died in some very creative ways. I’ve been stun locked and got a /pet spam while doing some mining on my druid, they did that then just mounted and flew away.

A favorite was getting stun locked when I elemental overload into an EZ mining node and waiting for the sweet release of death.

If I’m actually trying get things done, I just turn off war mode.

Why would people join FLAK if they don’t PvP…?

my old man boomer rant back in the day before warmode, wpvp was better! you got world defense channel telling you if Brill or Crossroads was under attack and there was always a gaggle of role play nerds ready to defend. You recognized player names and guild names, its fun fighting people you know from your server, none of this cross realm nonsense with ppl from places I never heard of like tichondrius or illidan.

I will forever say that the greatest sight this game ever had was when we would hit TM and watch the endless trail of Horde players flying in after the defense channels started alerting.

Tarren Mill is under attack!
Tarren Mill is under attack!

I knew we’d end up slaughtered but watching Horde fly in was just an amazing sight.

We’re not old. We’re venerable.

Cheers.

Likewise, when I was still Horde I remember when we’d decided to stomp on flowers in Ashenvale and then the trees would start speaking Darnassian

God, I got stomped so hard in Ashenvale by that damn treant elite I spent a month in vanilla trying to level up in the Barrens because I thought the whole Ashenvale zone was going to be like that …

I was one of those nerds defending Crossroads. (but wasnt on an RP server back then)

I would actually just sit out there with friends on the hill below the guard tower. Because there was always a constant flow of alliance coming through to kill quest givers or start a fight.

World Defense was a huge loss for the game, and killed a large community that was built around it.

My crowd defended the Undercity. It was my guild at the time - whichever iteration of it I had going, another guild called Shadowhaven and a few other regulars who would fly in if anyone did a call to arms. We would stomp down the attackers around 90% of the time and then would do light RP about some Alliance attack happening.

Member Ninth Orgrimar Regiment getting a bunch of people together, including A side to RPVP push the Horde from Duskwood to as far as we could? I member

Add me as a friend, I’m always in War Mode and ready for action!

Crossroads was my home. It’s where I met the love of my life!
I met many friends there, built a guild from it. Fought Kor’Kron vs Kor’Kron there.

Man I love the Crossroads.
I wish I could build it up like I do in my CK3Modded Game.

Some of my fondest memories of wpvp was playing Alliance and getting the notification “Stormwind is under attack” in worlddefense but seeing that it was just Ephie playing around and being silly so I would switch to a Horde alt and join in the shenanigans. No one knows the sneaky hidden places in that city like she does. We had a secret meeting and regrouping place most Alliance couldn’t get to because it was phased (It was the airship that used to be over near the lighthouse)

Awww, Ephie.

There’s someone lately who has a very similar name, but has in her TRP that she is NOT Ephie. Every time I see her, I do a double take.

As someone who never takes WM off I can say I’ve never had a pleasant experience with anyone from MG so this tracks. I’ve been heavily considering joining FLAK after seeing their advert the other day. They were helping people at the Azj Kahet world pvp daily also. Seem like stand up folks.

I don’t WPvP much but I know some of the players at FLAK. They are good folks all around.

Cheers.

Def join up. There is no downside to joining other than maybe having another chat channel and discord.

I’ll even give you a pleasant MG experience too, free of charge! Unless you want one of those experiences, then I’d respectfully decline but be flattered all the same.
