PvP Community is Too Toxic

…you are talking “broken” instead of “fair”…it’s not broken if you can join a guild to get geared…learn the difference between broken and fair…and wow is not a socialist game, it doesn’t guarantee equal outcome, only equal opportunity…I have 12 120’s and I’m constantly turning down guild invites because I don’t want to raid…that’s on me, not wow…

omg I’m just joking when I post …

That’s… literally the point?

It’s broken so you’re forced to PvE for it, and if you don’t then a bunch of garb0 gendis smorcs are just going to clobber you with it. It’s bad design, and it’s irrelevant if that’s how it also was in vanilla - it was bad design then too.

The fact that LFG exists has no relevance either. You shouldn’t have to PvE for PvP gear. We’ve had a decade of either feasible or great PvP gearing systems (and legion’s “crappy-but-still better-than-Bfa-gearing” templates). There’s no reason this stupid expansion style should even exist

…look, I don’t like pve any more than you do…but it’s the way that blizzard has gone in this game…my hunch is to cater to the pve’ers because they used to get WTFPWNED by pvp’ers in pvp gear…ok, so be it…but if I worked for blizzard what would be the best way to sort this out…hmmmm…well, make everyone have the same gear so you didn’t need to get one or the other or both…I understand why because pvp gear>pve gear IN PVP…whether you like it or not, it’s not broken, it’s just the easy way for people to get the best all around gear…me personally, I think that gear should not matter in pvp situations…it should all evolve into what’s best for the class and spec, and then go back to what’s best in pve…it should be skill>gear in pvp, always…

I spit on dh/dk.

It’s not toxic, it’s the move.

Try getting ignored and pooped on for a while. You’ll get toxic too.

Quit using some many periods. You remind me of the crippled kid from Malcolm in the middle who had to take a breath in between every word except in txt form lol.

Can’t find toxicity in PvP if I don’t Q. :exploding_head:

With a game in a state like this being toxic is some people’s only means of fun tbh

The biggest problem in this game is it’s low execution and very results oriented. You know that one really good game of League / Dota? The one where you quad kill and you’re filled with adrenaline and it just makes your day? A big chunk of people that play mobas that aren’t playing at a pro level, are more or less constantly just chasing that feeling.

In wow people don’t want a good back and forth game. They don’t want to close match. They want the other team to crumble with as little resistance as possible so they can get their shiny title and dragon. D/cs, broken comps, sniping, broken PVe items, etc. Whatever it takes to win. That’s just how it goes with the achievement system I guess. But as a result people being elitist in this game feels extra annoying because it’s not like they are an impressive gamer in the big picture with such low APM and reaction requirements.

In Wow Classic killing someone in a PVP setting can actually feel like achievement on it’s own so it’s not like the game was always like this.

I quit since it wasn’t worth the rise in blood pressure. Playing through SWTOR right now and really enjoying it. Story is fun, PvP is fun if hideously unbalanced. World PvP is entertaining. Every class and spec can do well. :man_shrugging:

I agree with the toughness thing but at what point do people need to stop just being toxic, pvpers are really weird and rude, if someones rating isn’t higher than yours they will insult you and be like a hurr durr 2400 rating monkey when they are like 2501.
this type of behaviour is a little sad don’t you think

Nerds gonna be nerds. Every pvp game I’ve ever played has been this way. When you combine scrawny, socially awkward, greasy neckbeards with the anonymity of the internet - you get some real tough keyboard warriors. They can finally get away with talkin’ a little smack and feel big for a moment.

Most of the super toxic people ive met on wow are actually the ones that work out and think very highly of themselves in the real world too.

It’s just how it is. Idk I try to be as positive as I can. But I’m human too and get annoyed/mad especially when I’m dealing with full pve geared people. Idk I just try to enjoy the game and have fun.

…in case you didn’t know, if you are little on the inside you look for ways to compensate…human nature…

…exactly…little on the inside needing to compensate…
