PVP by iLevel, Please:

Blizzard, you keep trying to reinvent the wheel. Stop it.

Scaling was an attempt to reinvent the wheel.

Just break PVP at max level down into item level brackets. Stop pairing mythic and 226-geared people with fresh 60s.

That’d push the geared horde queue times way too high for the devs liking!

Yeah, it’s always fun to wait a few minutes, then sit the entire BG in a graveyard because the entire team can two-shot anybody on your team. Especially if they’re premade.

And at this time a day, I got 4 BGs straight with the same premade. -Twirls finger.-

Yes! I wish I could like this 100x

I do not even que for Random bgs anymore.

Sad about that. About my favorite thing to do in the game…

It is NOT fun bending over and dying to one/two globals. I also do not see how it is fun for ppl who are way geared compared to ppl who have honor gear.

Eh, I’m just saying either way one group gets the shaft and Blizz probably ain’t choosing the red team for it lol.

I do agree it’d help with your problem though.

i can’t wait to queue in the 170-179 bracket, then when it pops just before I hit accept I equip all my gear boosting me up to 216.

no argument from me, being paired with under-geared players is just as bad as being matched against players who out gear you. if not worse.

Get rid of merc mode and just que in as alliance like you would in a RBG seems like an easy fix.

But then waaaah queue times.

This post is stupid given that your character sheet literally tracks both equipped item level and total item level. Why is GD like this?

No, just no. Can you imagine how long the que times would be. They are already long if you play Horde, plus if you want to be competitive then gear your toon.

Nah, I love watching all the mdps facerollers immediatley charge at me in bgs and get killed by my 226 ilvl thorns.

The WoD system was so good IMO and I hope they copy it

How big would the iLVL brackets be? Because people would just swap gear to be at the top of the bracket and then just pick off the lower people if the gap was wide enough.

The problem is there would be no incentive to get better gear, it would almost be like being a Twink. Imagine 170-179, someone would get their gear to all 179 with chants and sockets and pretty much railroad everyone.

They either need to change the gear gap to being like 10 ilevel max or adopt GW2 gear system.

Me and my wife love doing BG’s but we just dont queue anymore.

This is true but how many people just dont even bother queueing due to the gear disparity?

Or how their alts dont have gear?

And at that point, you can remove PVP gear and vendors, since it has no effect on PVP!

Heh, I remember playing against people in AQ 40 gear when in MC gear during vanilla. It’s been a thing forever, I highly doubt Blizz will change it.

I think there’s a simple answer here. Just stop doing Randoms and start doing Rateds. Isn’t that how the system’s supposed to work? You que in Randoms - you get what you get and you don’t throw a fit.

Logical, but a lot of people absolutely loathe the RBG community.
