Blizzard cant ban people who buy gold but can ban players who pvp. Plus several of the banned players played the game. Had a guildie get auto banned during the game because he told everyone to play and got mass reported.
This PVP ban is a dumb af decision. Idk who decided it but they need a revaluation. If i got banned id 100% quit wow. Would have been a service.

They have a long history of wrongfully banning people.
I have 2 friends who were wrongfully banned and after numerous tickets and forum posts and week+ they unbanned no apology nothing one of them at least got gametime compensation the other got nothing.
Also got a nice little threat from a customer support rep in the cs forums about my own account and ensuring next time my account has a suspension “i won’t be so lucky”
Eventually people will see this company for what they are and have nothing else to do with them sad to see what was once a great company over the 20 years i’ve played go to rubbish.

No punishment at all just means people will think they’re above the rules. Theres really no way to sugar coat this: you ruined a good thing for EVERONE, including the horde too. They did us a favor by increasing the loss tokens to 2 and you spat in their faces.

Lol this is a blizzard problem. None of my guildes afkd during AB or lost on purpose, yet several of them got banned. This is about blizzard using bots to mass ban anyone who they thought did it. Obviously you dont know anything so maybe use that pea size thing in your head for once. I know its asking a lot.

People who pvp have always played for honor per hour that’s been the case since forever.
When people used to rank with the bracket system they had all kinds of unspoken rules for ab and wsg for example in wsg people would play 1 cap which would be the first team to cap a flag wins the game the losing team would then farm hk’s for the rest of the game.
In ab they’d play with rules like first to 4 cap wins and the losing team would farm hk’s or sometimes they have a 1v1 from the best player on each side the winner takes the 5 cap and as a sign of respect players would feed them.
These are just some of the metas or unspoken rules of ranking that i’ve seen teams use.
The core problem is the pvp system and how the battlegrounds actually work it punishes players for playing the game how blizzard wants them too and rewards players for doing the opposite.
It had nothing to with anyone spitting in anyones face the changes they made were a good step in the right direction it completely brang back life into AB when it was dead for months unfortunately a bunch of people crying about losing in pugs caused them to revert it.
If they really want people to play the battlegrounds properly they need to improve the incentives to do so via the mechanics in those specific battlegrounds.
Add in some kind of honor per x minute in game / increase honor from kills add areas in game where you get boosted honor for killing whether its defending or attack e.g within 20 yards of flag carrier kills reward x% more honor or something like that.
AB could have benefits for actually sitting in a 35 min game boosted honor from holding flags and increased honor for defending flags give a flat bonus for capping a flag like 2k per flag cap to make people want to play objectives.
AV increase the LT/Captains honor per kill make the towers generate x% of honor per x minutes while its held then boost honor once tower is destroyed.
Make the end bosses unkillable until 4 towers are destroyed make the mines generate honor over time let the items you loot on bodies give small bonuses to honor like 50 honor per hand in or let it give a buff that increases honor from kills for next 5-10 mins
There’s literally 1000 different ways they can tweak things to make pvp fun and enjoyable and not a choir the problem isn’t the players the problem is lazy developers refusing to actually actively monitor there own game and adapt.

What more would you expect from blizzard, they screw up, players play the game as they designed and then instead of accepting responsibility blizzard starts banning people.

Like when they got ban happy in our late TBCC/wrath start cycle. In the totally not automated ban cycle. CS that day saw the accounts of say asmon and said yep…ban him. this will end well!
which was funny…the bots were still there. they banned the people who were jsut doing the “pve” quests in AV. Not the 15 people marching in formation out of the AV caves like a military/rotc crew doing drill practice.

Bans are not automated. All bans are done by an actual human.
The most that can be done automatically is a Squelch. Then a actual human reviews it and either removes the Squelch or is upgraded to a Silence (or suspension if its a repeat offense) if it violated ToS.
You can always tell your friend to make a post in the CS Forum section and possibly have a SFA come and bring light to the situation. But be warned if you are in the wrong they will tell you that you are and reveal what the ban is actually for while we laugh.
Also do not that profanity will get you banned so if your friend dropped a F-Bomb in the PvP match that could be what got them banned.

I was simply involved in AB games over the past week.
This is my first suspension in 20 years of playing … they changed the design and people changed their meta for honor per hour … even though i still did rogue things and killed i still got a week off …
This is complete BS and they know it.

The response of banning people for their own incompetence is worse.
Imagine if they’d done that to people running incursion loops before the exp/gold was adjusted?
I did 700k’s worth of farming on both my rogues at the same time without getting banned. Were you just sitting at the starting area the entire time doing nothing the entire game?
