What does your mental math say about a 32 week season having top end r1 cuttoff averaging 100-200pts higher then a 38 week season? Especially when people were pushing 3600 in the 32 week season…

Differences in participation. The blue post (that i know you didnt read) says it doesnt affect players who sit, so other seasons with 38 weeks might have had different participation and different amounts of rating sitters. That would be my best guess

Holinki said they’d jack up mmr so we didn’t run into the inactivity we did when they rugged mmr in s1

absolutely it was. at 10points/week like it was for the past 7 years according to the developers. 100%
even the skill capped video says median went from 1450 to 1750 and with a 32week season at 10points/week that checks out.
