Blizzard has just allowed PvE to PvP server transfers…
In the coming weeks, we plan to remove the restriction on transfers from Normal to PvP realms in Burning Crusade Classic. At that time, we will open additional Free Character Transfers from underpopulated Normal realms wherever appropriate, and we will remove the rule on PvP realms that prevents players from having characters in both factions on the same PvP realm in Burning Crusade Classic. We’ll confirm all of the details as soon as we’re ready to take those steps.
Although quite a few people will be happy I don’t think this is a good thing for the current PVE realms or the future of server queues once the server pops hit the cap that Firemaw EU did.
As the only server with an RP community still, Grobbulus needs to be excluded from this. Allowing cross-faction character creation on PvP servers is a bad move in general. The barrier to salty cross-faction whispers is requiring a second account.
This decision is almost certainly because Blizzard couldn’t be bothered to figure out the technical hurdles of server consolidation for accounts that have characters on multiple realms.
Honestly with Diablo Immortal and all the other monatization stuff happening recently, I think Bobby wants to milk as much money as he can before he gets replaced by Microsoft.
1st off you do know that you can’t attack someone that’s not Flagged for pvp right It’s not like on PVP servers where it’s automatically on you actually have to turn it on.
So That’s going to make that a lot harder Now I could see there being some scenarios that may make it a little bit worse however I would make the argument most people don’t care about world pvp.
If people want to move servers because They either one want people to play with or spread out the population a little bit would be my assumption at the very least.
And I repeat you have to flag yourself Is in order for you to Ganked And I read your post just fine.
On top of that Most people aren’t going to bother Most people as in 90.9% of the population of World of Warcraft I would say Do not care about world PVP there’s a very small minority that still does.
And even they I’m willing to bet if you were to ask them They would rather do rating And be able to get to the destination without worrying being stabbed in the back a 100 times.
Which completely works because guess what you cannot be attacked unless you are flagged So in the scenario that you named doesn’t work Unless the individual in question is already flagged.
