What are you even talking about? M+ drops better gear than you can get from grinding PVP. It’s totally the other way around (easier to gear up in PVE than PVP).
While pvp gearing has improved (vastly I might add), and you will eventually catchup to PvE ilvl if you’re at least 2100, but you’re still gonna be about 4-6 weeks behind anyone who does PvE or both and wont catchup until about the last 2 months of the season.
If seasons are 6 months, then being under geared for 4/6 months of the season compared to others feels pretty bad yea.
They really need to either make a PvP standalone servers where progression is you improving at the game/rating or they need to separate out the systems again.
Flip side of the coin is probably true for pve, would be pretty annoying to get out dps’d by someone who has 3-4 extra slots of pvp gear.
don’t forget that loot drop were nerfed in shadowlands, m+ gearing can be really trash, like if you are not going to time a key or get close to not time it, people will simply leave the run because only 1 item drop at the end, it kills motivation and some people keys
I mean did you not read how PvErs are trying to catch up to PvErs, its all luck based.
At least you’re rewarded for the time you put into bgs and arena but an hour long mythic can net nothing
There’s just real irony in how many threads were complaining about PvE ilvl disregarding versa 2pc and pve versa stat ratios and now this thread pops up.
Its really fine right now and yes can be improved but PvP has it really solid right now
Why are you happy. As exclusive PvPer your ilvl right now is around 200, while a high quality PvE player is usually around 215-220. Since secondary stat dr and the redesign of primary stat being the most rewarding, makes item level better than anything. This means, that PvE player right now have an insane gear advantage.
This will equal out deeper into the season, but right now they have such an advantage.
About a m+ vendor: They can have a vendor, when they don’t get any drops anymore from end of dungeon chest and only get like a similar amount of coins per week comparable with conquest points. Similar system as in PvP! I am wondering how many of them would agree with that.
It’s the same for PvPers? You know how long it will take to get everything from the conquest vendor and upgrade it? Not to mention that you never can get bis alone from PvP. And you are maybe very unlucky, as covenant decide what secondary stats your items have.
You really shouldn’t look at it that way. It’s not about which group struggled more, rather who decided to force that struggle. Just like right now I can’t even get the proper stats on specific PvP pieces. Blizzard is telling us to go to Mythic+ if you want to be as competitive as possible… which means spend more time in game. It’s lousy business to meet that silly time-spent metric everyone hates.
Yea I don’t expect to get BiS stats down to the quantum level from a single vendor, nor do I expect to instantly get all the gear upgraded to max but I haven’t even played my shaman most of my game time the past 2 weeks but at 207 ilvl 90% PvP geared.
Not sure what you expect? You could run mythics and get zero reward for your time, it’s just as much of a time sink.
Could easily put a pvp stat back onto pvp gear and get rid of vers as the pvp stat, so when a player is 220il in pve gear they won’t crush someone who is in 200 pvp gear.
Edit: but we waited years for an actual vender. I don’t expect much from blizzard in regards to pvp except giant swings of nerf hammers.
And you might have used all your conquest points and get some good items from the great vault, but the more items you buy, the higher the risk you don’t get something useful from the vault next week. Which makes it even longer to get to ilvl later into the season.
Isn’t it ironic? Weren’t people complaining about all the random gear? Benthic, World Quest loot, Azerite loot, this loot, that loot, TF, no TF.
Now it’s back to the roots and this happens. Lul.
Can’t say I’m surprised. I saw some true colors from retail players when Classic came around. I only know 2 actual people from my retail guild who are capable of or willing to raid both classic and retail simultaneously out of 30-40 people in the guild.
You just said you mostly haven’t played your shaman. You were like “oh, you get easily top gear by just spending a few mins the week into it.”. And you already have max pvp 226 items equipped into your 204 gear, to upgrade the gear by 3 itemlevel, you need to get some pve items to achieve that!
1/3 if you are a pvp exclusive player.
I just disagree with this pve bobs who think pvp gearing is soooo great or equal to pve. It’s not! You end up in a few weeks (like 2 months) to maybe have better gear, but until this point, PvE players have such a huge advantage!
I do, that’s why I’m satisfied with my shaman’s items. And not moaning about PvE advantage when it’s really not that sweet on the PvE side.
False, you get honor even if you lose.
The biggest gripe was that last expac you could fail to time a key and still get drops at the end of a run and now even if you +1 it doesn’t feel rewarding. Nvm if it’s an item someone doesn’t need but is still an ilvl upgrade.
How are you gonna cry about the price of conquest/honor upgrades. then spew this nonsense like it’s any better spending an entire day doing mythics when there’s literally NO guarantee you will get items.
Says the guy who got triggered by “pve bobs” even when I wasn’t necessarily talking about him, but the people the to mentioned in his post? Take your own advice I guess!
And here I disagree. Yes, you might farm dungeons and get nothing out of it, but in the end, when you farm arena you also end up to get nothing from it, as soon as your conquest cap is full and you unlocked all 3 slots for the great vault.
When farming m+ day in, day out, you will get items. The items in PvP are hard limited, in m+ only soft limited.
Honor item level is 184, m+ goes up to 216 items or something?
man, you are so right there, its really fun to form a m+ group with decent players and then end the run with maybe 2 pieces or someone think you won’t make the timer and leave the key, because a depleted key will drop only 1 piece of gear at the end, idk why blizzard is trying so hard to kill m+ but they are on the right path
where are you finding these weirdos lul? pve gearing is way easier than pvp gearing. I mostly pve for my gear because rated arena is a joke right now with all these busted healer comps but i do cap CQ and honor and buy CQ gear. I can respect pvpers for sticking with it.
