Irony here…is no one would say a thing if we spent 10 million gold which would take me a month to get at least…but spend less than an hours worth of work on it and 20% of the forum loses they damned minds over it lol
I’ve seen other games start to die when the devs insert stuff like this that everyone can just buy that circumvents game functionality. If you want the game to keep going strong, this certainly isn’t the way to do it. Add to that the fact that the cash shop and trading post are taking away any incentive to earn things in the game itself, and we have a slow but lethal poison, all underpinned by greed.
I’m continually surprised that all anyone sees or wants to comment on is the idea that they think this is just whining and wanting to feel special. No, my concern is with the longevity of the game—yours should be too.
I just dont see it this way at all. I see a business trying to make money to keep investors off their backs…what you all call ‘greed’.
As a business owner, I cant take the same POV many of you do evidently.
That feeling special thing sounds like a mental disorder if its based on video game content, lol. Not anything Im personally interested in.
the longevity of this online game will entirely depend on if those server bills and dev salaries and investors are paid…if a 90 buck mount helps that, Im fine with it.
See, that’s part of the issue. In the old days, Blizz was more independent and free to make what they and the players actually enjoyed. If the brutosaur is just another Microsoft exec yearly bonus thing or more robber-baron shareholders trying to nab a quick buck to pay for their gold-plated toilets on their yachts, all at the expense of a game they’re milking, then no, it isn’t really good for the game at all. You can’t tell me they’re strapped for cash; sub numbers are up and they’ve laid people off. So yeah, it really is just greed over a company that used to be ultra-pro-consumer.
the first few posts are super confusin lol
missing some context there
THAT is the actual problem.
this aint the old days…this isnt the old player base…times have changed.
I started in 2017 and in 7 years ive seen an evolution in this crowd myself…gettting more and more impatient as the years have gone by.
Youre clearly wanting 2006 again…thats great…but this is 2024…a new player base who doesnt want 2006 back again like some do.
This game WILL evolve with the times or it WILL die…that is for certain.
don’t forget the current highest mount reward is for 500 and tho its a flying mount it cant dragonfly & will act as a ground mount while in dragon flying mode. probably single hardest mount to get in the game (500) and its currently broken. i stopped collecting after i hit 700. blizzard refuses to add more achievements as to not reward collectors and include casuals who have been flooded with free mounts, exotic and standard, for the last 2 or 3 expansions. 500 isn’t as much of a challenge as it was when it was first added (start of DF)
Why would you bother to move lol, its like extra keys you gota use to move away from people
yeah pressing w is so strenuous
yea it is, moving everytime someone wants to use it lmao
yeah well maybe that is why it annoys me when people want to use it - they are too lazy to push a button
Bro everyone has the mount, you just moving for nothing lol
I’m more surprised anyone would spend $90 for a cosmetic in a game that’s clearly going down the tubes.
Like, we don’t even have actual customer support anymore, it’s automated.
God forbid anything happens to your account- all that stuff is gone forever lol.
Entire guild banks are still missing.
WoW isn’t getting better- it’s actively getting worse lol.
This patch was one of the worst in recent history.
another irony in here…seeing the Bruto 2.0 everywhere in hordes the last couple days. So many buying it…yet somehow its magically sinking the game into the pits of hell and destruction according to the non buying sort lmao
It’d feel like a bigger slap in the face if I needed to mail in something and wait 12 weeks for shipping and handling.
then they can hit that button and use it - no need to be so lazy
Well i guess your not lazy since you click to summon then moving all the time
Ive actually been letting people use mine. I generally dont but Im crafting and listing so no need to move around today.
I dont mind letting people use my mounts, i mean whats the big deal… Someone asked me to ride my Stormwind Chaser and i didnt have a problem with that
The only one I mind is the yak…they willl stand there for half hour window shopping if I let them.
That voidwalker transmog toy is great for that…I can leave it sit there when Im done and I think they can still use it for a short bit.
not a mount so Im not shutting it down while theyre looking.
