No. reroll.
That lasted for two hours in the afternoon.
If you’re on a server with 3 hour queue times then server transfers were open to you. They were never faction specific. That can only be Herod or Faerlina.
Transfer don’t cry, blizzard was patient with you all for 3 months, you decided to be stubborn and kept on FULL populated realm.
Honestly if you’re still on Herod you deserve this, we knew before Classic went live Herod was going to be a cluster, lol.
Blaming the queues on factions is nonsense. If you didn’t see this queue roller coaster coming, you shouldn’t get a free pass just because your parents wouldn’t let you play as monsters.
I play on Herod.
Please DO NOT layer Herod again. Let the people who can’t handle queues transfer off of the server.
You don’t read much. I left Herod in September. you were warned. Admit you didn’t care to listen and now you reap what you sow.
This. If you are or were Alliance Herod you knew this was coming. And Phase One was the only period in which layering works. Imagine layering at AQ Gates Opening!
There have been numerous transfers for Alliance though. This is the only wave that hasn’t had them, and each one beforehand indicated in P2 the queue was very likely to return.
That’s why I took the second wave of transfers, we were warned numerous times.
I agree, it would be nice if it was faction specific, but I don’t think this is something we can hedge on occurring.
To be fair, I actually support faction-specific queues.
Maybe the server has a max population of 5000, but when no faction may have more than 3000 players logged in at once.
This means when the server is full, there may be no more than a 60/40 imbalance, AND players in the dominant faction are encouraged to take the transfer.
I’d also recommend enabling faction switching from dominant to minority faction on select servers.
And for weeks upon weeks before the final wave, always with the same warning that this was coming in phase 2.
Thousands of Alliance were able to transfer with no problem.
If they’re going to give queues- they have to give xfers. It’s flat out favouritism that Horde get free xfers to avoid queues. If you’re going to do Horde only xfers, you can’t have Alliance sitting in queues with no solution.
By it’s very nature, if you’re sitting in a queue it’s Blizz telling you ‘there’s too many people here, some of you need to leave’- but if they’re not giving the option to leave it ends up being ‘there’s too many people here… so go **** yourselves’.
That one lasted 2 hours…i transferred in September. There were multiple opportunities.
Advising alliance to transfer off of a horde stacked server (they cannot) is pretty boneheaded. However, the OP’s request to simply re-layer is asinine.
Not something they can really do without completely rewriting the way their login servers work.
It’s unlikely that adding a faction check and population limit would require rewriting their login servers.
Idk why you’re angry at the people commenting that Blizzard themselves strongly suggested not rolling on these extremely popular servers because of queue times (I believe your server was named specifically). You ignored their warning, stayed and now that layering has been removed you’re going to have a queue. This is no ones fault but your own.
The login servers don’t check to see if you have 10 characters or 0 characters… And what about PvE servers where people can have both? They would have to place server login AFTER character selection and that would end up being a complete change in the system.
Favortism?!?!!?!?!
Dude Herod was one of the top popular PvP servers from the very beginning.
Also blame your low Alliance percentage on your own faction when they moved out of Herod during free transfers awhile ago.
Now you must suffer and get owned by the superb faction… THE HORDE!!!
