What refund? Classic is considered complimentary per their business model, with the subscription being associated with WoW retail. They could never turn the servers back on and they wouldn’t owe you a cent.
I am sure blizzard will consult you next time to ensure that it is ok for them to do maintenance.

omfg pushed til 3pm now - trolling us. I remember swtor/bioware being just as bad and just as horrible communicating with their customers, no wonder subs are dropping here. So sad, wasting peoples time!

I’m in the same boat. They will have wasted most of my day off at this point. They’re supposed to do this crap on tuesday which is when I would have been working. As for compensation amount, you can’t just look at the amount of lost time. Its value is not flat. The days off when we would have used it more are far more valuable than time when we would have used it less, or not at all. If your service is down on the weekend when you wanted to use it, isn’t that a hell of lot worse than it being down during your work week when you wouldn’t have used it anyway? Think about that.
Oh you must mean like Tuesday? Maintenance was already conducted this week. Maybe they should have caught this yesterday.
You would pretty much be compensated 50-60 cents based on subscription time if you are monthly pay. Just stop.
At this point they should just be transparent and say “We have NO idea what’s wrong and NO idea when it will be fixed.”
It was 7-8 then 7-9 then 7-11 then 7-12 and so on. So don’t be surprised if it’s pushed to 4 or 5 or 6 and on and on. The game may be out for the whole day/night.
They should always do that. It should have just said it’s down for an indefinite time period. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
