Pureblood fire hawk felfire hawk and corrupted fire hawk totally remodeled (blizz since corrected on 10/22))

I have the pure blood Firehawk which is the bright orange one and it looks exactly the same as it always did. What do you mean?

Its model is now the renewed proto-drake frame from Dragonflight. If you sit on the ground with the Felhawk, you can see it’s the same. Like how Vulpera are just Goblins. My guess is they just got lazy and put the model skin over the proto-drake frame and called it a day. Sucks.

I thought you were joking.

Bro literally has a floating detached lower jaw. What the hell?

i wish i was joking. i love ji-kun, one of my favorite mounts, and now he’s disabled with a detached floating jaw. it’s sad.

I noticed this too. They really borked a few mounts.

Tomb of Sargeras and the Paladin shoulders called. Not everyone appreciated the sparkles being added.

I really hope it is just a temporary bug and not a terrible change to one of my favorite mounts :frowning:

What i dont get is that they made this epic mount to be huge, flashy and kind of a big deal

why chop its poor wings off ya know? put a hole in its neck - just a sad birb now

BLIZZARD shadow blocked this post - you cant find it on search anymore but its all over google

there are multiple complaints about this and blizz is tryin to supress our feedback

If it was blocked, it wouldn’t be here, and I wouldn’t be seeing it. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Looks like they cut off half of the visual effects from the head and body, and the wings and tail look “incomplete” for lack of a better word.

Looks like a bug more than a ‘remodel’, what should form a circle around neck forms 2 squares instead. But shadowbanning this post is crazy, as if they straight up just won’t fix it.

try searching for this post in the search field - try “firehawk” or hawk it doesnt come up - but if you google it it will show

I typed in “firehawk” and a bug report with the same issue showed up three options down.

After that, I typed in “fire hawk” (like in the thread title) and there this topic was. Nothing was shadow banned and they aren’t trying to sweep this under the rug.

might be my fat panda fingers

Ashes, when used with normal flight (not dynamic) has the streamers still. I think there has to be something with dynamic flight that is causing all of the problems we are seeing.

Part of me thinks they got most of the mounts to an ‘ok’ state and shipped it and might come back to fix them in the future.

I submitted a bug report detailing all the problems with the mount. But tbh, I don’t think it will get fixed

dynamic flight definitely caused this.
Alysrazor and a bunch of flying raid bosses were bugged the moment it shipped but those got fixed i think cause those actually affected gameplay alot. Hopefully they’ll come back and fix mounts.
I just got corrupted dreadwing before dynamic flight only to find out it lost its colorful trails. feels bad man

I’ve brought something up like this in the past and a ton of the little pea brains thought they were so clever making fun and saying I just wanted N64 graphics. I think people, especially people who haven’t done art for decades, don’t understand the concept that art style and quality are different things.

Some older models on WoW had more style to them, even with potato graphics there was some fun about their goofy designs and details and for me personally I felt like Alexstrasza’s dragon form got more boring as her graphics improved. A great example of a direct graphic upgrade without hurting the style or some aspects of the mount were the Alterac Valley remake mounts. They genuinely looked fantastic and they didn’t overhaul the style.

I would love a 1-1 ratio remake of the original proto-drake models that don’t have the beak on bottom and 2 giant teeth towards the back they increased the size of. The proto-drakes are bugged again as well, when I ride mine it’s now towards the bottom of the screen and doesn’t have it’s jumping take off animations again.

It isn’t the remodeling that bugs me but the fact the sparks for them are all still orange regardless of color.

Yeah I’m sure it was the minor graphical changes on a decade old mount that did it lol
