Purchased a name change… Was charged to my bank account… Yet I cant find anything to select to change the characters name… Either give me the name change or refund.
It should apear ingame but that being said it can sometimes take up 2 24hrs for digital purchase to process what does it say in purchase history in account management.

You are posting on a Classic character. Regular World of Warcraft name changes are not available on Classic characters. You can purchase a name change for World of Warcraft Cataclysm Classic but that is a different purchase and has the following restrictions:
- Only available in World of Warcraft® Classic Progression
- Requires World of Warcraft® Subscription or Game Time
- Not available in World of Warcraft® Classic Era
Its on retail! It doesn’t say retail or classic specific. Wonder how many people do this?
Ok that solves that problem now onto the refund u have 2 choices either keep the name change or request a refund thru account management payments i think blizzard wont do it here and it will probably be declined the first time but u can ask for a 2nd review.

If it’s on retail, it should appear as an icon on the top right of your character select screen. I’ll take a screenshot to show you. If it’s not there and the purchase says completed and you didn’t buy the wrong version, then put in a ticket.

Click the “Continue” button on that page for it to pull up your recent transactions.
If it’s only been a week, the purchase should show up on there (typical refund window is 14 days). If it doesn’t click the link at the bottom to put in a ticket.
If the automated system declines, there should be a way to submit a ticket from that page to have a GM take a look and see what they can do.
Sounds like you only wanted one for Cata but it gave it to you in retail instead. They very likely can switch it over to Cata then if you have not used it for retail already.
It is the same cost for both versions of the game. There should not be much of an issue getting it moved over.
That’s not how the systems work unfortunately. They cannot just swap items around, even though to us it makes sense it should be possible. They definitely can’t swap items between client versions.
What needs to happen is the OP needs to get their original purchase refunded. Then they can use those funds to buy the correct name change for Cata.
