If the covenant I am most drawn to isn’t the ideal one for my class, I suppose I’ll just have to deal with the 1-2% less dps I will end up doing. :’(

The game is still fun.

Just my performance will be ruined by the cosmetic choice I want to make.

That’s my meaningful choice. Look cool and play bad, or play good and look crap.

I feel ya man, I’m gonna be sub optimal for raids cause I prefer pushing m+

If you can’t formulate a coherent argument and just repeat your conclusion, than why would we negotiate?

Are there? So far I’ve seen only suggestions that would make the entire system meaningless

Yes, if someone is mad and when I ask why he is mad he responds with incoherent and self contradictory statements, the empathy diminishes. It gives the impression that you came to the conclusion that is bad, and you are just trying to rationalize the conclusion.

Because this game is not compatible with min maxers. Every time you try doing it you will end up turning the game into a full time job. The game was not designed for world first, or for pushing 30+ keys, it inevitably breaks down, and that is why there are 0 rewards associated with these activities.

The entire covenant system is designed to make you guys stop doing it, it is making the game awful for you and for the people around you that have to deal with you. It is designed to make unviable the idea of min maxing each spec for each possible activity, this is a “Stop hitting yourself” kind of system.

Oh great… spamming

It is not about the volume, it is about the soundness of the arguments being made.

I’m sure many of them think “They don’t care about me so I don’t need to care about them” about the pull the ripcord people.

You claim you’re willing to negotiate, but I haven’t seen anything from you but more crap flinging in a debate that was already full of it.

Lol no blizzard listens to whoever will get the the most subs. I can promise you plenty of people have already canceled their pre-orders over systemlands. Your entire comment shows you are not willing to negotiate and are just another anti. Of you want my thoughts on why the system is bad you may look at my post history I do not care to explain myself again #pulltheripcord #dontcatertobads

This is the same boat I’m in. I haven’t even bothered to look at what covenant is best for what classes. I haven’t even picked a main for SL, and am leaning towards just not playing, because I know whatever I pick will end up having some stupid covenant I hate being BiS.

If you want to see my explanation on why covenants are bad there are plenty of other people who have made the same arguments as me and you may check my post history. Again I have no intention of constantly repeating myself, they want to play a yelling game so we will play a yelling game. #pulltheripcord #dontcatertobads

Would be hilarious if Night Fae ended up being the BiS for a Warlock, DK or DH.

Watch out, here comes XxDoomFirexX and his faerie friends.

This game is a hobby, and some people actually are pretty competitive at the hobby they do or play.

How are min-maxers ruining the game for others when they are the ones who are testing out the systems and finding the faults. I trust min-maxers more than the run of the mill casual because they’ll actually know what’s good for the game, and what it needs to progress to be better.

God dammit now I have to see if Xxdoomfirexx is available as a name.

It’s not going to stop anybody, and I really have to think that the dev team knows this too.

People min/max in D&D where you straight up can’t change your character build around at all unless you have a very generous DM. The inability to change your choices doesn’t make anybody stop min/maxing who wanted to.

I’d argue what covenants are designed to do(and what people are upset about) is that for years we’ve been allowed to hyper specialize our characters and min/max towards every single thing in the game rather than needing to choose what we were going to optimize in.

and now the game is going “Nope, I don’t like that. Stop doing that”.

It probably wouldn’t have been as much of a problem if Blizzard didn’t let it get this far, but once given it’s a lot harder to take it away as we saw with flying.

That’s because the anti crowd has LITERALLY NO LOGICAL REASON to want the restriction other than wanting to see others not happy.

This is true. I feel a lot of people here will accept and defend bad systems purely to stick it to Raiders and Mythic+ people.

They just enjoy seeing those small percentage of players suffering.

Definitely needed another thread

If there’s any other argument I’d love to hear it.

That’s a bad example and I’ll tell you why like I have told others. You have been able to min/max in ffxiv And EsO with little to no punishment. Ffxiv is the second best mmorpg in the world only losing out to wow because of its boost via classic subs. The ffxiv community and eso communities also argue far less then the wo community particularly when it comes to these topics. Gee they must be doing something right one would think

There’s nothing wrong with the example since i was pointing out that you’ll always have min/maxing even in a system where you can’t change any choice around once made.

You seem to be under the impression that because I didn’t agree with you that means I’m automatically in agreement with how Covenants work.

Which would be a mistake to assume that.

Don’t cater to bads, but please make the game easier so I can follow trends for Mythic and Raiding more efficiently…

I’m not assuming that at all but I will admit your motives seem a little vague perhaps you just don’t care about covenants either way which is a fine position to take. At least it’s not illogical. And sure it won’t keep me from min/maxing but it punishes me for doing so. What kind of mmo does that? None I’ve played that’s for sure

Don’t cater to bads, but please make the game easier so I can follow trends for Mythic and Raiding more efficiently…

You still don’t get any credit because you have no experience doing anything remotely difficulty. #pulltheripcord
