After reading through many beta posts, watching many videos of folks who have been testing the game…please, Ion, do what you said you would do.
Shadowlands could be ok if you all just allow us to pick the covenant we want when we want, ability wise. There are so many issues with the choices at the moment with many classes. Just do it and get it over with. Pull the ripcord.

Blizzard doesn’t read GD FYI. If they did, they’d have noticed the 1000 other such threads on here.

Joining a Covenant is about being a part of a new, specific society with a unique position, duties, values, ect in the greater Shadowlands cosmology and the whole concept is built upon it being a singular choice including abilities and cosmetics, just like race and class, that will inform your character’s identity the entire time they are in the Shadowlands.
Please stop trying to ruin the first in-game choice that significantly and lastingly affects game play Blizzard has come up with in ages because you can’t deal with not having your cake and eating it too.
You can join it and do everything that comes with it aesthetically. Nobody is stopping that.
It’s hilarious because these spam threads block out and dilute the larger and more meaningful threads. People think they are making a point but only hurting it.
Just do what I do, put things tht annoy on Mute. That tidies up the front page nicely.

Well, I’m against what you want so I’m actually doing a good thing in my eyes. You’re only ruining you’re own message with spam as it lessens the voices and important conversation in meaningful threads. lol
Nah, I like the way Covenants work. RPG elements in an RPG.
That is great, I am hoping to see you pick the worst covenant for your class because you enjoy the covenant outside of what it offers you.
I’m afraid the only places those things are happening are in your head. Try actually looking into covenants and what they are on beta.
Half of these people will be back in a few months, complaining that no one is taking them for group content.

Yep. Just trying to delay the inevitable when 9.3 hits and they finally open it up because its an absolute crap shoot.
They’re going to lose a lot of people if it takes that that long again. A lot of us don’t have the patience to sit through another azerite/corruption crapshoot.
This will be my last expansion if it repeats the same formula of legion/BFA. Ive never wanted to quit completely until BFA and after seeing what shadowlands is bringing, along with the week lock out of being able to change soul binds…yeah, think the game I want and the game they want to make aren’t the same thing anymore. Sad.
So i have not really looked much into this.
How does the current design hurt you, how would it be improved if you could choose to change your active abilities (without changing covenant) by talking to an NPC in town for example?
