for the love of god, pull it!
I enjoy enhancement as my offspec questing spec much more than elemental (as a resto).
Because i’m resto, I play necrolord. Necrolord is absolutely shocking to play as enhancement compared to Venthyr. My second shaman is Venthyr and enhancement feels so nice
Maelstrom weapon is literally designed so enhance can battlemage without casting anything. Primordial wave is a cast. It’s counter intuitive to the ENTIRE design of enhance. Do they even play their own game?
feels like there should be a “Bro” in there somewhere
My favorite part is how the random generation of Maelstrom procs sometimes means that I don’t actually get to use the damage/target buff from Wave, because it only lasts 15 second after casting the ability, and I’m not guaranteed to hit 5 MSW stacks in that window. At which point the spell is literally nothing but a second Flame Shock button.
Could you imagine if Asmongold is the impetus for change at Blizzard HQ? I’d be incredibly depressed if i was a studio that just released a new patch and the reaction was seeing a competitor game get 210k viewers 4 days after the patch release.
Whichever knucklehead thought the megadungeon should also be included in week 2 really missed the mark.
Seeing you of all people defend this nonsense is at the same time disappointing yet typical.
They didn’t want to overwhelm us week one, what with the 3 new daily quests in Korthia. So, instead, theyre releasing megadungeon, s2 m+, and normal/heroic raid on the same day. So we’re not overwhelmed. And s2 PvP, which I always forget about.
12 Million people played in Wrath.
What happened?
They fixed what was not broken.
13 years also kinda happened, but yknow, lets pretend Wrath wasn’t filled with garbage design.
DKs single handedly destroying PvP, a god awful baby mode of Naxx taking up an entire raid tier, cutting Ulduar short, anything involved with ToC, LFD/LFR, the massive watering down of heroic dungeons, etc.
Wrath is where all of the casualification and watering down occurred but people really want to ride their nostalgia into the sunset.
Great theme, middling expansion.
Just commenting something here to keep the thread active. I would really like to see the designers reconsider the pros/cons of having borrowed power tied to narrative progression. Let us choose a covenant because we want to be in that covenant. Give us the freedom to enjoy the fantasy, for the sake of fantasy. A lose/lose scenario is not meaningful choice.

It doesnt allow me in the past. So I am okay with that rule.
But I was able to get around it back then. I just made a second Main toon. If my guild needs a Tank, my DK was reserved for it. If they want DPS, I have a Hunter with equal or better DPS than my DK. I can switch roles multiple times in a day becoz I am switching toons not my toon’s roles.
That was Wrath. Did I hear crying on switching roles back then?
It took 50k gold to switch specs in Vanilla on my Warrior, an expansion with no daily quests that rewards gold. I was switching between Main Tank or DPS becoz of my BWL, AQ/20/AQ40, and Naxx40 Raids and the same time switching specs for my PvP as I was Lt Commander back then. There was a time that I gave up switching specs. I told my guild, I would be on DPS/PvP specs giving up Main Tanking. I cant top DPS anymore too becoz I need some points for PvP but at least I can still kill High Warlords in PvP. It was fine.
When Wrath came, I thought of my switching roles problem. I made 2 Main toons so I could switch roles indefinitely.
Rules are implemented. Players cant dictate how the game would go. If a player plays Pacman and he wants Pacman square, would he able to change it? People are spoiled. They thought they own the game. If they want a game of their own rules, make their own game.
Day ∞ of wanting to flutter among my fellow nature-y peeps but wearing zombie crap because of numbers.

Who is that guy? He looks mean
Don’t forget, they also never delivered on the Dance Studio.
Developers act out of pure spite at this point.
Ripcord will be pulled in 10.0 and replaced with yet another failure of a system.
I see this sort of post all the time, and they are all similarly pointless. Let me explain.
What is the point of comparing then and now? It serves no purpose, and doesn’t make any issue a non-issue, or vice versa. The car I bought in 1998 had no air conditioning, does that mean today’s car doesn’t need it either? Slavery was fine just a century ago, does that mean it’s ok today? And you know what happened to the limitation on role switching? Yes I’ll let you figure that one out.
If something is a problem, it’s a problem. Whatever happened in the history doesn’t add or subtract from it.
Sure, but we can certainly voice our opinions, especially when something such as covenant locking that makes no logical sense.
People are not spoiled. Sure some are, but probably not most, and certainly not everyone. Read through the thread, there are many constructive feedback in here.
