Trust BlizZard:

Six months later

Trust BlizZard again please?

Eight months later…

How about no?

How about we trust the players to play how they see fit.

I know we’re 1/4 through the expansions lifetime but be sure VERY SOON i can ASSURE YOU blizzard will get balance right.

VERY SOON ANY SECOND NOW.

That assumes that there will be a third patch…more like beta for the next expansion starts as a soon as the second patch of systemlands hits the live servers LMAO.

:surfing_woman: :surfing_man:

Best case scenario really, get some fresh faces in the dev team, axe this monstrosity and move on.

I called it months ago…I am inspired to see more are coming to a similar conclusion.

You don’t want to actually fix the problem, just circumvent it.

You keep ignoring the player populations of each tier. Secondly, why would they listen to some straggling Mythic Player when there’s all the World First guilds that have way more clout than you?

It’s very logical for Blizzard to balance where the majority of players play for every expansion. And if they were to balance around Mythic, they would just listen to the world first raiders, not some rando Mythic player lording around on General Discussion.

I’d just like to move on and we can all collectively pretend covenants never happened and torghast was another one of Blizzards classic swing and miss projects.

Send Torghast into the pit of failed execution ideas with Warfronts, Islands and Ashran.

I’m sure you’ll find something else to whine about.

Yes, turning the page is what most would like to see.

All they had to do was choose two options. Option A is to grow the game or Option B was to curate the existing systems. They choose neither option A or B and chose to make standalone systems that do not grow the game and also neglect existing systems.

Basically they thought they were smarter than the previous devs and they are now looking at the door closing quickly.

They had a golden opportunity to simply just grow the game or curate the existing WoW experience.

They had it on easy mode thanks to the work of previous dev teams and they blew it. Not so smart after all.

I do want to fix it, if it was up to be Blizzard would be doing constant balance changing fixing things that don’t work. The problem is they literally don’t and have an extremely long track record you’d need to ignore to not see that clearly. So this is the path of least resistance that is more realistic for Blizzard to accomplish.

Where do you think the feedback comes from in class discord? Also calling me a straggling mythic player lol. Absolute slapper from the person hiding on an alt again.

(they do)

(hate to be the one who breaks it to you)

(maybe you missed the big leak a few months back where they talked about the private feedback form that used to operate when GC was in Blizzard and why classes got so much feedback)

You’ve engaged waaay more than he deserves. I can’t tell if it is just extreme ignorance mixed with inexplicable confidence or if it is just straight bad faith trolling.

I am so very embarrassed for you that you came to this argument without a critical piece of information, please feel free to do some light reading

Sadly I don’t think it is trolling.

There are people that think having WoW be neglected this way is acceptable because the standalone time limited experienced of the current expansion is “worth it”.

With a competent team and management most of WoW evergreen systems over six years wouldn’t be this neglected. Classes wouldn’t be neglected like this and you would have to go back to vanilla to argue classes were in such a state. But even then there were efforts to improve classes back then. And classes had greater utility in some instances in vanilla then current retail. What does that say?

There is an opportunity cost with chasing rental systems. Ironic because BlizZard wants players to make tough choices and opportunity costs with covenants, soul binds, etc. And yet BlizZard thinks sinking time and money into rental systems is worth it while neglecting the core WoW game.

WoD launched in fall 2014. They stopped reporting subs q1 2015 after the record losses. BRF was a good raid, HM was decent.

I can’t wait for them to finish reading what I linked and come back like a reasonable adult with “I didn’t know this, now I have read this information from an extremely prominent DK Theorycrafter of yesterday I take back what I said and I see I was wrong.”

/s

I’m not sure what feedback any of the raiders provided caused that.

You just linked the twitter thread explaining pretty much exactly it. MoP/ WoD worked for some, it did not work for all.

And nothing is going to work or be perfect for everyone. It’s all a compromise, but I understand you aren’t interested in that.

I’d much rather they keep trying and missing, instead of just repackaging WoD with one more raid tier and pretend that would have saved it.

I don’t know what a twitter discussion about how classes were balanced caused any sub number declines?

What’s the compromise we’re working with currently? They don’t balance, they double down on covenant restrictions with covenant only legendaries that largely suck and in turn raiders get … what? What do people (the majority) who picked for power get? A compromise is a two way street.

Are you really trying to compare making covenants a talent row turning this expansion into WoD? The only comparison I would make is it would be an improvement to gut the expansion a tier early so we can get out of this garbage system if they won’t change their thinking.

Once again, do i need to provide the numbers or?

Don’t worry guys those sweaty 1% picking for power will get weeded out soon by the balance changes that are coming right?

Once again , all they had to do is make a conduit , that could of been added in at 9.0.5 or in the upcoming 9.1 that would make any of the class abilities for the specific class a player is playing work with any covenant and its soul binds . This would actually free up time to focus more on real content like new quests, new dungeons and new raids per patch.

People would rather Blizz focus on keeping systems like they are because they enjoy getting the scraps that fall off of the table.

People like you, Mafic, me and others we want to sample the buffet like guests at a party .

I hope Edyta is okay, It must be shattering to find out you’ve been playing based on what the sweaty 1% whiners talk about for years and years
