I really think the delay wont help them, this expasion is doom ed.
Soulbinds, conduits, Signature/class skills, legendaries its too much to balance.
Sure they can use the extra time to fix bugs and all that, but the core problem…
I got a beta invite, finally. I’ll put my two cents in soon once I get to max level and test it out. So far, the leveling in Bastion has been a ton of fun.

I probably screwed myself out of a beta invite. I unsubbed the moment they announced they weren’t pulling the ripcord. As much as I’d love to have beta access to help them get this in a finished state, it’s not worth paying on a gamble that they’ll even listen (or be able to.)

I personally am also a fan of pulling ripcords. Falling to my death is usually less ideal.

No matter how much they are told no, or that the devs are adamant on this, they still continue. It’s kind of sad and amusing to watch them tilt at windmills.
Trying to balance covenants and soul binds and legendaries ETC is too much. Delaying things a month or two is not going to balance everything. They need to pull the ripcord. They need to stop building systems upon systems every single expansion and learn from their mistakes… simplify.
After the delay, this thread is more relevant than ever lol.

Yeah your right .
Legion : Legendaries are broken so Bad luck protection then finally a vendor
BfA: Azerite broken so they open up the HoA so that they are easily dealt with
BfA : Essences having to be farmed on every toon . A currency system is put in so alts can let a level 3 essence if already earned on one toon
BfA: Corruptions hard to get right ones . Added to Mother for a currency.
YEah you’re right why would they pull the rip cord . Oh wait they have been doing it for every system since Legion .

But THIS time I’m sure they’ll get it right! Four unique abilities, each with their own soulbind tree for all 12 classes, accounting for their various specs, for all the different kinds of gameplay that wow encompasses? That’s a piece of cake! I’m sure launch is going to be fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine.

Yeah, playing with the different covenant abilities even at their base level. You can already tell there’s a huge distinction in power, and situational use. No one is safe from this system. You will always feel you can do better for any given situation especially knowing that you have other abilities you can pick for said situation.

I really hope the delay is about the convenant and getting rid of the Power around them. That would be my best hope and dream.
Reality they will tune it badly and we will suffer from their stuborness.
God we can only hope.
At this point I would say:
- Keep and balance legendary.
- Keep covenant abilities, but allow switching with no limitation.
- Get rid of soulbinds and conduits.
- Disable PvE trinkets in arena.
- Disable covenant abilities in arena.
The soulbind is just such a mess. There is no balance, there never will be. And with a week-long lockout at that? Yeah right lol
