Pretty much my thoughts. i used to look forward to playing every day, but its pretty hard to look forward to doing chores before you can play content. Only this time its not as much chores, just locking optimal power to you behind a really really really stupid 2 week cd. (If you want to either play another spec or a different form of content). just let me get my gear and do what i want for the love of god

Ok now I’ve watched the video I am truly clueless what you thought posting this with that snarky comment was going to achieve, honestly.
Preach never once said he wouldn’t play because covenants were bad, stating his frustrations with them which he echoes in the video. If anything it shows an example of someone who cares about his theme but is having to sacrifice that to be the strongest covenant in his raid.
He also echoes what i mentioned earlier:
Like he said in the video (which he has remained consistent on the entire time) this barely impacts him at all. He has a luxury of time, he has time and enjoys the game enough to make alts to do all the content.
Not everyone does have that time however, and this is the group that gets impacted most by covenant locking abilities. People won’t have time to mess around or multiple characters. They will just quit.
Truly and honestly I have no idea what on earth you thought posting his video with your snarky comment was supposed to do.

He has never, ever, ever said he would quit over covenants. Ever
Mythic raiders are the ones who will adapt by doing the things casual won’t do. It’s been said a thousand times it impacts them the least.

This is exactly the point, everyone thinks if they back the current covenant system it will stick it to the 1% elitist raiders.
The problem is the people they want to hurt, wont give a damn, this has almost no effect on them. What. So. Ever.
They are only hurting the people who play WoW casually.
I have yet to see a compelling argument as to why covenants should be kept the way they are.

So I was planing to grab Kyrian for my priest as the armor sets fit their theme.
But apparently, the Night Fae has a more useful utility/mobility spell that also saves time in rested areas too.
Meanwhile one of the most fun and meme generating games of the century so far allows you to be at the same time part of the Mages, the companions, the Dark brotherhood and the Thieves guild.
