Like I said, I’ve never done that fight because the gear doesn’t help me. I get better gear doing Mythic + and PvP.
It’s kinda amusing to look at the strawmen and caricatures that they come up with, until you realize that they aren’t joking and actually believe this rubbish.
I picked my convenants based on transmog for main and then content based for my alts (managed to get one of each).
I am happy to take restrictions in my character power in exchange for the transmog much like I am willing to not be a dwarf warrior because I want to 2hand tank not sword and board.
Every choice we make in the game comes with a cost if I pick certain stats I get certain advantages. Like if I pick vers my defense is better but haste can smooth out my rotation.
There is always an optimal choice but sometimes that optimal choice is not worth the opportunity cost (for example if only the best tank spec was the only one if I didn’t find it fun I wouldn’t stay).

If only there were millions left to even attempt that… I think from Realm Pop we are only looking at 2 mill at most that even play the game anymore.
I dunno, sounds like Kuraga up there has to choose between which of several different kinds of content she wants to be best at, and it’s not based on spec.

Here’s an idea: You pick your favorite covenant for theme and cosmetics, and you can choose your favorite ability of the bunch on top of that without some stupid limitation.
Ehh…not really, that’s relatively new thing. Nobody ever got locked out of their alt spec’s optimal choice for ranking up a reputation before.
That’s fair, but again - I would encourage you to look up how the entire thing works. This isn’t about purely being as optimal as possible, this thing is extremely unbalanced, and will punish you just for spec switching.
For NA perhaps…I’m talking about the world. You know there are WoW players in other countries, right?
