I wouldn’t mind earning angelic feather as shadow or mind flay as holy. If I earned then why not. Why not have all skills be base and therefore no skill trees and talents will ever be needed.

Covenants are not classes. 
If people wanted spells from other specs or classes they would say so
What they want is #pulltheripcord.
And if anything covenants bring more homogenization than specialization.

Your entitled to your opinion. I just want them to be more then just another skill tree option.
What is a class? A selection of skills. What is a covenant? To min max. Nothing more then a choice of skills? When you take away “meaningful” choices. The lines are blurred.
If you can’t notice the difference between a class and a covenant you’re truly lost.

Sorry to break it to you but that’s exactly what they are without the option to change them for Raids vs Dungeons or PvP which they are each uniquely tailored for.

Interesting to me that most other threads about pulling the cord will get flagged as spam because “tHerE’s AlReAdY a tHrEaD aBouT iT” yet the top of GD is covered in separate but similar mount vote threads right now, none of which have been flagged. Really shows how child-like the anti-pullers are.

Generally fanboy hypocrisy. Report the threads of the opposition to silence them. It’s sad really. They act like we want the game to be worse. That freeing them from the restrictions will put them in bondage. It’s sad really. All we can do is keep yelling and hope that Ion will hear us inside his own rectal cavity.

Honestly, I kind of want to see how it goes should the ripcord not be pulled. Chaos maybe, or maybe not. Though I am interested in seeing, though should it be pulled then oh well.
Yeah, I’m kinda curious too about the forum rage itll bring. We’ll probably see a lot of first time posters…
For most of my mains and alts there is a conflict between which aesthetic and theme i want for them and which ability I want to use. It already does not feel good to have to choose.
This isnt meaningful player choice. It is an unnecessary forced choice. It is basically saying, “We can give you all of these options to freely choose and use however you want… But we are not going to do it. Either pick for how your character looks, or how it performs. You may get lucky and have both. But if you dont, tough luck.”
