#PullTheRipcord

Imagine having the most aesthetic Druid covenant be the least attractive option for Druid players because they don’t want to cripple themselves in chunks of content.

It just makes things so much easier if they do. Then they can focus on fixing things that they won’t inevitably change later anyway

I think I’m gonna start counting the strawmen in these discussion and see how high we got after this is over.

I can’t find the quote but to the people that say raids are not competitive is naive. It’s not a new phenomena it’s just gotten more publicity.

Vanilla - the race to completing the raids first was a thing but very secretive. The guilds “Fury” on Medihv and “Ascent” completely dominated in the raiding scenes world wide from MC to AQ40. Back then guilds did not share their strats.

BC - “Nihilum”taking world first Kelthuzad and C’thun and later dominating in Burning crusade as world first leaders. “Death and Taxes” being their competitors and leaders in their own rights.

Fun fact: Curse (who we get our addons from 90% of the time) was a top competitive guild at the end of BC.

Wrath- blizzard introduced the achievements and one called “realm first:…” which fully got people more interested in the raiding scene competitively and not just for the story. (Blizzard wouldn’t have made it an achievement if it wasn’t a recognizable goal of the community. Sadly taken out in WoD)
“Vodka” and “Paragon” led the charge in ICC.

Cata - “paragon” led the world first race

MoP - “Blood Legion“ led the world first race and sometimes getting beaten by “Method” (they later dominated at end of MoP)

WoD - race between “blood legion”, “method”, “paragon”, and “midwinter”
“Limit” started to make a name for themselves late WoD

Legion - era of “Limit” vs “Method”

But what I’m saying is raiding has always been competitive back then it wasn’t just 2 names dominating but actually would see 10 different guilds getting world first of a boss.

Just because you don’t take raiding as seriously or as competitive does not mean it’s not. Thanks to WoW many E-sport names were made.

Just because it’s an RPG does not mean it’s not competitive. For goodness sakes there are speed runs for Mario, Dark Souls just to name two of the thousands of games.

Watch:
“The greatest guilds in the history of World of Warcraft” - punkrat.
He did a great job talking about it.

#Pulltheripcord. I and i’m sure many others don’t want to feel pigeonholed into doing only one set of content based on what covenant they choose. You just know some classes/specs are going to have different covenants as their objective best for the various types of content (raiding, m+, pvp). To feel disadvantaged in something before you even start is going to create a huge wall for players that want to try all forms of content. These types of systems make no sense and should be removed/reworked so they only provide cosmetic changes or something that doesn’t directly effect performance.

Blizz told us to wait and see the whole picture before judging covenants, And its even worse then we had thought. They will never be able to balance this, like any other content they have tried to “Balance”

This is a childish mentality. Saying you want something just because is an argument you’d have with a 6 year old.

I really look forward to that.

#PullTheRipcord for a better Azeroth.

This is what worries me, always same thing find a class you like work to gear it than BAM, nerfed, spent months working with it now it’s useless.

As someone that mains a lock I know this ALL to well over the years of “we would never nerf classes in the middle of xpac” Yea I remember that one!

Please keep the strawman, slippery slope and false equivalence fallacies to a minimum today trolls. You may not understand how faulty your position is but the #pulltheripcord crew does.
