Yeah I know I probably won’t reach that way higher ceiling but guess what I’ll know I tried and I can live with that.
I also know I can live with being a random bg lfr hero now because I have done the progression raiding in the past so I know I can do normals and heroics .
Heck I may try doing them again if guild raiding and work schedules don’t conflict
Classes are the vehicle we chose to enter the World of Warcraft in, Covenants are just another turn in that road. We’ve been down a lot of these roads before and we know how they end.
No, it isn’t. Most RPG’s have factions that augment player power, which creates a ‘ceiling’. But players still use them because its the faction/abilities they like.
The Brotherhood of Steel might be a min/maxers choice because of the Power Armor and Laser Weapons, but people will still pick Raiders for the drugs and melee weapons.
Most mmos do not and certainly no successful ones. This is not a single player game that you can just reload the save if you don’t like the faction. Nobody outside the tiny tiny community of speed runners cares about mix max in a single player rpg in an mmo on the other hand you are competing against others for your raid spot your m+ spot and directly in pvp.
They wouldn’t of lasted that way. Talent reforging costs didn’t even make it out of Vanilla for the same reason that people don’t want Covenants being hard locked to make it out of Beta.
I would have had less of an initial problem with it because that’s how the game would have been designed originally, not changed into being later on after years of a different philosophy. But over time I absolutely would’ve disliked it as much as I dislike the idea now
Only in this MMO are you competing for a raid spot or M+, because the weirdly enough, the players stopped caring about just downing the boss and emphasized on individual worth.
Only in this MMO is there a crushing grip of players that say you must be X, do Y, and have Z or else you’ll lower my score.
It’s those type of people that MMORPG’s should never be built around.
Uh no it’s in literally every mmo lol. FF14 has damage meters and the majority of raiders use them they just aren’t officially endorsed same with swtor. Also love how you sidestepped pvp
The fun thing about playing an MMORPG is that there are all kinds of different demographics of players, and you don’t have to do this thing you’re doing where you convince yourself the players you dislike are super interested in what you’re doing which makes you this petty and spiteful.
Trust me, nobody wants to force you to do anything to get you into their groups. Just do your own thing and stop getting to disgruntled over how other people play their game
Completely and categorically untrue. There have been thousands of non-raider and non-cutting edge players speaking up against the covenant system. You just choose to ignore them and continue to fuel your disgruntled HRR GRRR GRR RAIDER GRR whinging.
