#PullTheRipcord Blizzard, the flaws of Covenants have already been exposed

Far more than world first players spent gold on boes for specific corruptions because it was the only way to reliably get them.

Oh my god, I’ll hop onto the website right away and pretend like I give a :poop:.

If other players could farm them, then they’re not that hard to get.

Yeah with corruptions pay 2 win became very obvious and explicit. In the past it didn’t matter that much, :+1:  but it mattered in a big way with how corruption worked in BFA.

The whole reinventing the wheel attitude Blizz has, and their attempts at a new system seem to carry a “players will buy it no matter what.”

Also, historically I am surprised at how critical they are of the past. See Classic. This arrogant mentality of whatever new power or feature they are offering is not certain to be superior to the past. It wears on nerves of the player base.

Kind of amusing though. Method borrowed all that gold from Gallywix to buy items. Then Method lost the race anyway, and Method got nuked while Gallywix got banned.

It is telling how a certain kind of group seems to thrive in the new systems Blizzard has created.

This reads as MandarinOrangeslice fears change.

I for one am glad they are trying things to mitigate the BIS approach many try to force. Pick a path and stick with it. If you want to try another path Alt leveling which is already insanely easy will be even easier in SL.

Um “borrowed” isn’t the correct word Oakenshroot

Kk guess im off to sleep

It’s not like the majority of the forums hated you once you became a MVP; because you’re just the typical brownnose Blizzard shill. You and the majority of the MVPs hardly say anything against Blizzard. MVP program is useless.

The cringe in here is real.

That’s like saying why should I try to be my best , I can show up and be average.

Have people really developed that much of a participation trophy attitude that they truly do not want to push themselves even if they are doing low level content to do the best they can in that content?

I think Sonechka was trying to point out that there’s a difference between trying and being a cyborg clone. Which is what is leading Blizzard to try and muddy some of those “BIS” edges.

Good news, the thread has been restored.

That’s nothing of the sort. People have this illusion that most of the game is inaccessible unless you min-max, which isn’t true.

Everyone does bis or meta to an extent because it is still a game and you want your game play to be fun . Even those of us that want the power aspect untied want to have a meaningful rp choice with our covenant picks.

Just separate the class abilities from them .

Heck make the soul binds of the covenant you choose work with all of covenant class abilities . Keep renown as well as the new mission system and the over all look of each covenant. Those things would still make Covenant choices meaningful.

Even if they do pull the rip cord I might not change my choice but I would like the option to be able to do it without being punished all because some rper sitting in Goldshire all day gets their jollies by people being punished for not playing their way.

if you are going to claim that you are smart and don’t need a website it’s probably better not to use the literal worst agility trinket in bfa

I know nothing is inaccessible without the meta.

I’m talking about not just showing up or even being top of the meters . I am talking about pushing one’s self to be better.

I’m talking about hey you know what I think I might try to push something harder.

I think you are failing to see that what Ion and Co are aiming for is that its not a lesser choice, just a different choice. You shouldn’t have to be x covenant to be effective, so your covenant will have its own rewards.

It’s not like I’m going to replace it anytime soon, the trinket being from a Mythic run. But nah, I need some hopped up Mythic Raider to tell me what’s bad while gearing up.

You can still push to be better. You’ll still hit a ceiling, and if you want to go further, you’ll start opting in the optimal things. But that particular ceiling is higher than most people think,

In the other MVPs’ defense, Metro is far and away the worst. His comment that you quoted is just his standard fallback whenever he gets flak. “Boo hoo I just wanted to have a conversation, woe is me.” Every single time, like clockwork. At this point I assume it’s just something he does so he can tell himself that he’s not being a jerk and being treated accordingly.

Short answer - yes. Long answer - people seem to hate even the implication of performance these days.
