If this works anything like things of this nature have in the past: Upgrading those items will bind them to the character making the whole idea pointless.
I guess i shouldnāt play the game then.

what do people need to have every single alt geared to the teeth for? what are you doing with all these alts?
Play a few that you enjoy, and for the rest that you a barely play, 424 vet gear is completely overkill.

Their reasoning is you should be playing your alt to progress your alt. I personally can respect that sentiment.
If they wonāt do account wide crests I would at least like more things to spend them on. Let me buy transmog with them that Iāll never have proper access to because LFR isnāt my endgame.
I just want to send the heaps excess crests/flightstones I have even if itās at a loss. I donāt think thatās a big ask dude

Fully agree, this character has no use for any of the Crests or Flightstones she gets weekly, but my DK sure could use them.

No, itās just fact. How would it hurt? How does it make the game better that your main has a bunch of crests they no longer need and canāt send them to your alt? It doesnāt.
These threads always read as, āWhy is the character Iām not playing, improving on, showing progress on or anything else able to get the gear I donāt need from my character that Iām grinding it on anyway, but I get invited because I have more gear than my altā
I am a 100% altoholic, and alt purist. Making this stuff BoA would lead to BUNCH of inflated ilvl zero experience zero skill alts because Tommy The +16 Farmer with his 441 ret paladin grinded +16 FH for hours and made full +447 gear for an alt he has no idea how to play.
That is not good for over-all game health. Sorry. If you want to progress the class, play the class.

Yeah thatās dumb. It would in no way hurt the game. It would incentivize a lot more players to play alts knowing they donāt have to grind the same currencies and nonsense to catch them up.
Ridiculous statement. Go play Mortal Kombat or Streetfighter.
āFunneling gear to zero experienced alts that I canāt play at the ilvl required to obtain this equipment anyway, that then continually alienates newer players/lower ilvl players in favor of alts that Iām not actively playing to any degree wouldnāt hurt the game. Trust me.ā -The guy it would benefit.
I have 117 Aspects on my Evoker, and I have 5 toons over 440. I completely, whole heartedly, and 100% disagree that you should be gearing characters that you do not have the experience or skill-set on to obtain the gear up with gear that they cannot obtain. If you want to gear the character, play the character.
I get it, though. You get spam declined on your generic sub-i410 altā¦ being spam declined for +16ās that youāre ātotally better than bro trust meā, and people donāt want to carry youā¦ So you want to funnel unused items off from your character that is appropriately geared for that content.
Itās justā¦ a really, really, exceptionally unbelievably bad balancing decision. If you want to gear the character competitively, play the character.

You can learn the class in 1 hour. Donāt know how bad your learning curve is. No class is difficult.
Iām curious who hurt you that much that you are afraid of a random joe out gear you?
Have you reached the season title? Does it effect your gameplay in ANY way that someone get good gear?
Next thing is you realize that it still takes weeks to get 447 because you need vault for that so if you are beaten by an alt with lower ilvl it means one thing only.

Which one? The Smoldering? likeā¦ thatās a fairly low barrier. It affects my gameplay significantly when your unplayed, unwashed, zero IO, zero m+ 447 alt comes in and tries to ego flex because how good they are and then since you have zero experience you ruin the party.
What? Just flat out untrue. 4 Aspects is a 447 craft in boots, wrist, waist, weapon, offhand, cloak, and neck with currently available sparks. Youāre missing only tier, which you have 5 catalysts available to make any generic Hero tier item tier and instant 441. I could do this tonight in under 5 minutes. Instant 444 average ilvl? Gross.
Uhh, you just referenced your āthe smolderingā title as being something that mattered, when thatās an accidental stepping stone for 99% of the player base.
You areā¦ notā¦ very well informed. Sorry, your alt needs to be actively played in order to obtain gear. Thereās no max-raid-tier BoA heirlooms for you. Thereās none of that in literally any active MMORPG, period.

I just gear through conquest mostly. I donāt really do M+ or raids.
4 aspects is 30minx5 dungeons and I already did that grind on my main.
And you are mixing things up. If you played actively you should be eligible to catch up alt more quickly.
What most causals ate interested in late in the season is just trying classes out and have fun. No one will ever disturb your max key experience.
