Public orders without mats was a mistake

Nope, it is deal with the system as is or figure out a way to avoid it. Like if you are in a guild, set up a handful of people to master each proff/specialization. I choose to be self sufficient.

You don’t really want to move forward, did you ever stop to think that some that sell these high quality mats could be the same ones that lie about their proc chance? The know you will pay the high cost for the mat, and also that you will pay more for the craft.

Like I said, if mats are provided I will craft for free (or the lowest possible commission, which is 1 silver) or just 500 gold to cover the cost of the insight. If mats are not provided, I would be looking for no more then the cost of mats + charge for insight. Maybe you need to find one that will do similar on your server.

A tier list I can see, I can also see being able to set quality based on the mats provided, I.E. you need at least a 2 star raw diamond to be able to set a 3 star result.

Yeah this makes sense. Like on the actual topic, the idea of asking for an expensive order than providing NONE of the materials to make it and getting mad if it’s not the quality you want is wild. To me the tier list/set quality should only be available if you’re providing mats and preferably with some sort of sense filter involved.

I am hoping this work order system will be dumped next expansion. You either got to spam trade chat 18 hours or camp public work orders.

The AH isn’t perfect but it works.

What if instead they added a list of crafters who could make the item and what rank they are guaranteed so you could choose one for a personal order?

If they let people filter them out easier people will get sick of wasting gold on dead commissions at some point.

On my realm theres a few that put no mats orders for azure bags for a 10g commission then take them to AH for 3k … same with The chrono bags that were 15k last time i checked.

Ive never actually done a public order yet

As long as they supply the mats I will craft anything inscription related for any tip amount.

Low ball the tip, I equip my resourceful gear and send it.

Ok tip, I’ll put on my inspiration or multicraft gear and send it.

Amazing tip, I’ll do everything in my power to make this thing a R5, I’ll supply mats for recrafts to get us there.

Yup I am gonna craft my resource tool later as I have yet to invest those 30 points on my jc. I can craft all the diamonds, Just got all points in rings this week.

I never got the lariat sadly so no point investing in necklaces maybe till next patch when it gets nerfed.

They made it harder to get as well now my there being only 1 invasion at a time now. That is 1/2 less rares. And with the stingy drop rate. Someone is trying to sell it for 3.7 mil on my server. I wish they added the drops from the raid invasions in the new zone or put them on a vendor.

Yep. Saw so many orders asking 10g for a crafting order and they left out over 2,500g worth of mats.

  1. The tip is beyond despicable.
  2. No way I carry around 2,500g worth of crating mats to throw away for 10g.

yes but - its a way for you to get crafting EXP somewhat reliable now, just like you always did previously, you PAID for your mats to get crafting exp

Well when people post stuff on the AH for 2,000g instead of 200,000g do you blame someone for trying to game the system? I don’t. People don’t read stuff as it is.

And apparently they are considering that very thing. On a recent Community forum post, developer Drough said, among other things:

That said, we will be carefully watching how this change works out. We are also looking into improving the clarity of the order interface to make sure it is as clear as possible which reagents are being provided by the customer and which by the crafter. Meanwhile, you will always get a confirmation dialogue if you are about to spend some of your own reagents on an order to make sure you are aware of what you are doing.

Ok, that’s good. It would make total sense.

It’s not in there as of 29-Mar 4:30 PDT. There IS a filter to see if you, the crafter, have mats to do the order, but nothing yet for whether or not the buyer has supplied all mats.

Still requires you to click all the orders you see (if any) and carefully look at each one, then cancel if mats are missing and you don’t think the commission accounts for that.

Would be great if you could just not see those orders in the first place with a simple check-box.

I think I saw a wowhead article on it. There is an addon that does it I believe.

Then get an add-on that will filter the list out or wait until Blizzard updates the UI in the next patch.

If crafters want to fulfill these orders for whatever reason (excess of materials or want the skill up) then they should be able to do it.

Edit: just read that someone else already recommended the add-on to you. Hope that helps.

Say you’ve never placed a work order without saying you’ve never placed a work order.
What the hell do you think the posting fee is?

What is the posting fee when you post your bait order for 1g-100g?

Basically nothing. Certainly far less than you stand to gain.

10g for 24 hours 20g for 48 roughly.

And this happens even if you are posting a job for an alt to do. It is more or less the AH deposit for crafting
