I was informed to make a bug report by GM involving the gear claw back because of the PTR vendor. I bought a melee set of t2 on my hunter from the PTR vendors, when announced the gear would be clawed back i just sold it to vendor to make up for some of the gold i spent because i had already equipped it. The next day i did a BWL with my guild where i received my final 3 pieces needed for my ranged set (helm, legs, and boots). i then proceeded to enchant the boots and helm (with zg idol/voodoo doll) as they were acquired legitimately. Upon logging in after the claw back those 3 items were taken from my inventory.
Virtually the same exact scenario for me.
There are now 5 reports on the forum that indicate blizzard removed non-ptr vendor items, with evidence of legitimate sourcing of those items.
Blizzard needs to do something.

Wrong, they said to post it here, they said there were multiple reports of the same issues, and they said and i quote “We have received several reports of this issue and can confirm it is not working as intended”.
Sounds like everyone who had their regular items removed conveniently left out that they purchased duplicate items off the vendor.
