PSA when using your tier token

there 2 vendors
theu are next to each other

left is pve
right is pvp

Heroic PvE items that do not scale are sold by the vendor on the right along with the Elite PvP items that do scale

Understand that but when you went to the vendor and noticed only 5 pieces on each sideā€¦1 side mirroring the other did you not think to check the difference in both? Or just grabbed and clicked yes?

Happened to me as well, but in my case the NPC only had PvE gear, there was only 5 options of PvE gear, I opened a Ticket and GM said it was probably an addon issue and refused to refund the itemā€¦

We know blizz doesnā€™t give us the best options but since we know that we should take at least a few extra seconds to make sure itā€™s the piece we want

Thereā€™s no denying itā€™s a foolish mistake, it just seems like poor game design in terms of user experience. Especially for an important piece of tier gear redeems with a token that you get one single opportunity to use (based on my current understanding). Thatā€™s all.

Thatā€™s not true, thereā€™s only 1 npc to exchange said item.

Agreed but we all know they create a bad design system and should protect ourselves by just taking our time and triple checking before using a item thatā€™s important in exchange for something.

Donā€™t you dare

The left vendor takes void touched curios, that are only from pve last boss personal drop. The right one takes the mark of mastery

Sorry they didnā€™t help you. Thanks for letting us know what happened.

I was one of those people who accidentally bought heroic shoulders over the elite shoulders. I then like an idiot equipped them not realizing still. I put in a ticket about it and basically the response was ā€œsorry but since you equipped the item youā€™ll have the transmog now permanently so we canā€™t just trade you items because of this reason. Good luck!ā€ā€¦ā€¦basically they are using the excuse that I got a free piece of transmog out of it so they wonā€™t replace the itemā€¦.pretty trash.

Their system was trash for these vendors. They could have had PvE strictly vendor and PvP strictly vendor. Then if one piece of PvE gear could be bought with either a token or mastery or one of the curios it could just have one piece of gear available for either of the tokensā€¦itā€™s a simple || (OR) operator. They just arenā€™t creative enough at blizzard to do this.

Pretty sure they have like one of five generic excuses but again itā€™s in line with how they usually go about handling these things. Usually thereā€™s an ā€œare you sureā€ window along with a ā€œif you put this piece on you canā€™t refund itā€ warning.

Yea they fumbled the handling of the vendor on this one. Iā€™m not gonna worry about it too much. Eventually Iā€™ll have tier, itā€™ll just be later than everyone else. This isnā€™t even brining up the fact of how garbage their handling of releasing the creation of tier by normal methods. They should release the creation catalyst or whatever itā€™s called now week 2 and then disable the option to get PvP tier from vaults. Thatā€™s just my thoughts though.

Only ones fumbling are those who didnā€™t read

Im not disagreejng with you that this is the practice that large gaming companies SHOULD take but my expectation is that they would look for any form of effeciencies in order to increase their profit margins.

The only feasable way to go about this problem without creating a situation where players are expected to grind out raid/M+ and rated PvP for an early advantage in progression by having 2 guaranteed Omnitokens is to just have one version of each tier piece that is upgradeable with Flightstones and Crests that also scales to 450 ilvl in PvP combat.

You might be able to use item restore at the cost of your now pve glovesā€¦ IMO It is worth a shot.

wheres the second one come from?
