In what way is a vote kick selfish?

I used to see this way too often during leveling dungeons. I don’t care if the kick is valid, the reason shouldn’t be anything offensive.

I was being sarcastic about imposing negative mythic rating penalties to people who leave normals/heroics during preseason. To put them in the negatives to even start, which means goals would be totally out of reach for a lot of people.
Only to have a laugh though. I do not want more penalties for people that want to leave a random run.

I applaud you not voting to kick that player. I’ve seen it happen a few times where an unwarranted vote kick will go out and it will not go through (there are some decent human beings on the planet) but more often than not it will go through.

I think it’ll be better tomorrow tbh. At least then maybe the groups will be split up? Like more casual players will be doing the heroics and then more pushers will be doing their own stuff? Idk to be honest I can’t really recall how it felt as start of DF

There is no unwarranted vtk, you can kick for no reason at all. If the majority doesn’t want someone, they gone

I would agree that Blizzard’s systems can perpetuate toxicity. Where if you get mass reported/flagged it automatically punishes you.
I believe Asmongold tested this and it was 100% automated. I did have to contact support recently and that was a headache in and of itself. Especially if you aren’t able to sign in to your account (my account was stuck in a log in loop). I had to make an entirely new account just to submit a ticket.
A reasonable person will make that decision. Which is why I normally click “No,” as the majority of VtKs I encounter are, in fact, unwarranted by my own subjective judgement.
Blizzard’s edict is not “all reasons are warranted,” their edict is “the player’s shall decide what is warranted.”
So start being more discerning and reasonable.

As well they should. Blizzard should never be in the business of telling players who they should or should not play with for any reason.
It doesn’t matter what reason the other 4 players have for not wanting to play with the 5th. They should not be forced to. It may be a horrible reason, but do people really think that forcing the group to remain will make the situation better?
